O goddess of luck why have thou forsaken me

Dunno. Maybe itā€™s something you said recently? Something like baby did you gain weight?

Or did you give a wrong answer to a question? When someone asks you: dear, do these pants make my a* look fat? The correct answer is always NO. Because itā€™s not the pants. Thatā€™s for shure.

I have not messed up like that, cuz i pretty much never had the chance to do that.
BUT ! i sure do have messed up in other regards, and if that thing with good and bad karma are true then my account are probably still in the negative, though i have worked hard for a couple of decades to make wrong right.

Problem is it take a lot of rights to make up for one wrong. :weary: whoever made up the rules have a sick sense of humor.

Congrats to the winners and thank you HaikeLight for the generous giveaway!

Received SC02 today!!
At first sight, it looks good. However, It has a few dust inside. I plan to clean it later. After observed and used it about 20 minutes, I was surprised and though it is very useful, itā€™s better than I expected! Nice tint, very good heat dissipation. Eventhough Iā€™m not into flood light, I still feel very good with it and it made me thought I may use it often. Butā€¦!!
Everything was good until I tried the water proof test. I only washed it less than 10 seconds(I think) Nothingā€™s wrong at that moment but sometimes later, I turn the light onā€¦ I didnā€™t pay much attention and several minutes past, I saw thick fog inside the lens. :frowning: I opened the head and saw water inside. I wiped off water and put everything back. Because of this matter, Iā€™ll put this SC02 on shelf. :weary:

Got mine SC01 today, Thank you HaikeLight for the Giveaway :+1:

When you fire up a big light, the air inside will expand and tries to escape.
When you turn the light off, the air inside cools down and the opposite will happen.
The first time it sucked in dusty air, the second time it sucked in moist air (or else?).

From last time, I though the leakage is from the side of bezel. Today, I tried to test again. Itā€™s rainy season and lowest RH I got is 62%, not dry but as I tried it, this not make inside the ligh fog up.

O.K. I did these below.

- First, fill some water on lens and bezel. Waiting around 5 minutes. Nothing happened.

- Then I rinsed around the side and top of bezel. May be 2-3 minute? Nothing happened.

- I tried shower test for around 2 minutes. Nothing happened. Oh! looks good!

- Time for the last test. I put it in a bowl with full water for 1 minutes. I noticed fog appeared a little. O_O

  • I put it in a bowl again for 3 minutes. The light still working but has thicker fog. I stop testing.

When I opened the head. No water in front of reflector and lens. Quite amounts of water on the back of reflector, inside the headā€™s wall and down to PCB, from what my eyes can saw. Luckily, it didnā€™t short.

A member here advised me to lube orings and see. I havenā€™t tried it yet. For now, I begin to doubt the switch too. lol
I will test more later if I have time and not too lazy.

LOL!

This giveaway has ended last month.

My cells just arrived. Cannot wait for my MT01.
