Thank you very much for the answers Fritz!!! Gotta take a look at those batteries (HKJ tests may help)!
And thanks for the work on this! Its really great! :+1:
EDIT: I took a look at HKJ tests and compared the Sanyo NCR18650GA, the Samsung 30Q and also the Sony US18650VTC6. I ordered 2 of these last. They may lose a bit in runtime, but gain a bit in power, as far as I perceived. Thanks for the tip anyway, Fritz
NCR 18650GA is only rated 10A continuous while 30Q is rated for 15 amps. Wouldn’t 30Q be better for hotrods like this light and the D4? Or will the GA produce less output so these lights overheat slower?
I’d go for 30Q, HG2 or VTC6, in any order. But, for a little more runtime and a little less performance, yes GA, MJ1, and maybe a couple others would be great too.
I did too. The one before served me faithfully for more than 526,000 km. The last one ran OK until it got a piece of plastic in the inlet plus new firmware. I know diesels don’t have spark-plugs but now it feels like it is running on 3.5 spark-plugs. Unless you depress the accelerator pedal a bit further and than it is no longer a sensible enonomical small car.
I wish VW gave me the same settlement as they gave you.
No, everyone is joking a little. The person who made the first one lives in Germany so people say it’s “Designed in Germany”. If this same fellow lived in Cuba for instance, it would be “Designed in Cuba”. No no big deal there.
These lights will be mass produced by Lumintop in China and will have no exterior markings at all.
LT is going over a slightly revised design, we hope for some news next week!
Petroleum Lantern Guy, I hope it will work out for you
I just leave you on this for there is no obligation to buy
GT will do for that one is expensive and others are now expecting to move up a spot.
