MTN Electronics: LEDs - Batteries - Lights - Chargers - Hosts - Drivers - Components - 1-Stop-US Source

Hi, RMM. Any idea when you might have Shockli 5500 mAh 26650’s back in stock? Thanks…

Richard is now selling e-switch drivers with the Emisar D4 UI v2.

It’s available now on his website in various sizes from 15mm on up.

This is great news for all modders who love the v2 firmware in the D4 and want to put it in their other e-switch lights.

Hopefully soon.

If turbo timer is stepping down to anything less than 50% there is a problem. To go any lower than 50% the driver thinks the input voltage is low.

Richard, is this the same driver that came with the D4 v1? I have a v1 and I’d like to change to v2 if possible. I don’t mind getting the same driver with v2 firmware and replace it.

No. It is the MTN driver with the same firmware, not the D4 driver. You'd be better off just reflashing the existing driver.

Regarding the MTN Quad and Emisar D4 flashlight:

You can swap the MCPCBs directly, with NO SPACER required. I had read some comments stating that a spacer is necessary, but doing the measurements and actually building some lights with the MTN Quad MCPCB it works fine without any extra spacer needed.

Could I put 4 XP-E2 Green emitters on your board and run em on the FET or would I have to reduce direct drive through PWM to keep from smoking the emitters like I did the Lee Filter I tried?

Maybe use the 18350 tube and a lesser cell to keep max current in check?

The ‘next mode memory’ problem I have is probably a bad capacitor or two, as people described here:

and here:

Time for me to learn how to solder itty bitty things.

I must be blind, do not see them under FET or linear drivers…

It can't be the capacitor. Maybe we flashed it with the wrong firmware or something because there is not OTC on that 15mm 7135 board, so the capacitor will not affect the memory.

It is a firmware option for the FET+7135 drivers---not a completely separate driver.

Bummer, I need a couple of side e-switch drivers and had hope for a good driver with good firmware to replace a couple of factory drivers.

> there is not OTC on that 15mm 7135 board

Did I say 15? It’s 17mm

And they are available. Just select the correct diameter of driver from the list of FET+7135 drivers, then use the dropdown menu to select D4 v2 UI.

Hi Richard, what turbo timer option should I choose on the 17mm fet +1 driver with the D4 firmware? I wish to have the same configurable temperature step down as the D4.

Thanks

I don’t think the D4 ui has a turbo stepdown, so you can just ignore that menu. At least that’s what I did with my order.

Just ignore it. It is going to be the same firmware regardless of what you select, like Bistro/guppydrv/moppydrv/Crescendo.

Perfect. Thanks

I just received my first order from MTN and I am just really impressed with the quality of that L2 host. To be honest I bought the scratch and dent version and I don’t think anyone would know if I had said it was one of the first quality lights. I had to look at it for a bit and finally found 1 scratch on one of the fins on the head. The only thing I would suggest is throw in a couple screws to screw down the MCPCB with. But if that is all I have to worry about we are all good. Thanks a lot!

My apologies the screws had just really gotten hidden in the package. along with 2 centering rings and an extra spring. Thank you.
