I present you with Giggles, the most hardcore BLF thrower in the World.

Great pics! And what a perfect name for a cute little light

Thanks for the review TA. Just make sure Giggles doesn’t turn into hysteria.

Great review and beamshots, The Giggles is a fantastic light.

Goliath’s Thrower

IG you have not done it, please post this in the main Giggles thread for it is going to be hard to keep up with requests for the same list in several topics

Dang TA nice engraving.

beam shot looks like the fake one they use for that $5 light they sell for $70, no wait, $20 for 3, the XLF3000 SKYRAY or whatever it is

it;s like a blue laser

though i assume this one is real

i never thought about how humidity can enhance these sky shots

good since i live in georgia

home of damp nights

Sad to hear that but I totally understand it as well. Be sure to post in the main thread to have your name removed: [PART 1] Official BLF GT Group Buy thread. Group buy officially closed! Lights shipping.

Or send Miller a PM.

Thanks! The engraving really looks good on it if you ask me, it adds a lot of life to the otherwise black mass IMHO.

Wow! No wonder it looks like an alien transport beam when shined upwards in humid conditions!

lol, the last week or 2 I have been getting many strange looks when I bring the equicilent of a bazooka to a knife fight.

Aka, I grab Giggles to look in a closet.

P.S. If you do this, make sure the brightness is turned way down or you will see spots for some time just form looking at the reflection of the hotspot on the wall.

Like The Miller said, you will need to post in the main thread here: [PART 1] Official BLF GT Group Buy thread. Group buy officially closed! Lights shipping.

Thanks, Me too!

We can not confirm this at this point but it is looking hopeful.

Thanks, it turned out really nice. It is always nail biting after lining everything up, focusing the laser, test printing on some paper and then hitting the print button. You only get 1 shot at it.

Made a few mistakes in my time but I have started to get it figured out now. The key is the prep like most cosmetic things.

The camera was having a real hard time deciding what to make of everything. Some were more noticable then real life, others less so. The last comparison shot is pretty close to what we could see by eye.

The light just to the right of Giggles in that shot is a small zoomie that is a fair amount better then those cheap lights you are thinking of. If it was alone and the camera settings were tweaked you could make it look like those fake beamshots. Although in most cases they simply photoshop them.

Humidity plays a massive role in throwers range and how it works. It drastically reduces the usable range due to all the scattered light not making it to the target. On top of that the scattered light also tends to blind you making it harder to see downrange. I was having to squint a bit even behind the light itself.

It does very much feel like a giant light saber or one of those giant sky lights they use for grand openings.

I agree.

Yep, there was no trickery involved with the beamshots, it really looks like that (more or less depending on how much the camera freaked out).

It kinda sucked cause I had a longer distance beamshot I wanted to try but the beam itself washed out the target too much to be any good.
