Astrolux K1

Freeme, you seem to have good contacts  , can you convince BG/Astrolux to have the UI of this otherwise really attractive and great priced light improved?

Slowly morphing into a Nitecore TIP just not fully there yet (looks wise) lol.

Feature wise it seems great.

I not use the mySGN3 because have not lock out and have led UV, (UV without lock out must be corrected).
I like the design of the previous option Xanes…. but also awful interface without security for the user. Please, I love this and the Xanes design, why not aceptable and security interface for the user?, it should not be so difficult to think a little for manufacturers or creators ….

I love this format matchbox, I have used: SGN3, SGN5, TIP old, TIP new, Manker,…. For a pocket light like this the user interface must allow security of not turn on, or some physical protection. If they implement UV, must be specially carefully for the interfaz, UV is not a joke (yes you will not see the effects at the moment, but please, use with precaution!

for $14 i think i will buy one, the rainbow one look nice.

It looks very good with all the bells and whistles. Nice colors too. I’m tempted… but i’m really worried about the UI after all the nonsense they have managed to put into the S42. Wont get bitten twice! Waiting for review… :expressionless:

I would not expect those LEDs to be true 365nm more likely 385nm

The title and description both say stainless steel.

well! Usb cover is ok.
UI sucks!
Always starts on high or turbo,no memory .
Lower button long press goes to turbo then every click T-H-M-L, another long press turn off.
Double click start on High then single click H-M-L,long press turn off.
Single click from off does nothing.
long press upper button turn on UV and short click when on switch to red, another long press turn off.

Tint BLUE!!!

Price should be max usd5$!!

Nitecore Tip on flash sale 17,99! Superior light in every way…

Or buy nitecore tube for 5,99 on sale it is smaller lighter and has better UI.

Another fail from Astrolux after s42 fiasco…

Strange that there are no reviews. Ordered one to replace my Manker that failed the battery after 10 cycles. Looks nice enough and at 14EU, prepared to take the risk.

Still. Strange there’s no reviews on here.

Ill ask swi from BG if they need a review for this light

I just received a XANES KT in the mail today and then I saw this. I ordered one for me and my brother too. I just really like this forum factor. Trying to talk myself out of preordering a Nitecore TINI.

BTW, I’m new to BLF and this is my first post. A hearty hello to all.

Welcome aboard!
I bought a Xanes KT as well and really like it. Bright and holds a charge forever.

Thanks. I meant “form factor”. Auto correct.

I got yesterday the light for review

So far the heatsinking of the main LED is not good
The UV LED is very dim compared to any other UV light I know, because most of the light gets absorbed by the platic housing, but it lights up 365nm colors on bank notes

It figures. Glad I bought two of them. Oh well…

I have this light for over 1 month. It is in my jeans pocket all day riding bike, driving car and no accidental activation or usb cover opening.
But UI is horrible! It always start on high or turbo and no memory mode.

Think positive. It still is an amazing key chain light for this money. Great tint, great output. I mean, the 6D maglite incan puts out less lumens than this thing, haha! Just enjoy the light and hunt for the next one!

I'm not sure how I triple posted, but I swear I only posted once! No idea. Sorry, though.

The forum software isn't perfect.

Sometimes I double post, but then I delete the duplicate post.

By the way, the delete button is between the Edit and Quote buttons.

Thanks.
