I have no plan for that. For the next several months it will be MCPCB first, LED later. Too many E21A piling up at the moment. I’m also trying to beat Samsung’s COB in a city hall garden project with E21A. Losing three months already.

Without having joined the discussion about them, I just bought 7 of the 4070e leds because I think that the tint is really good.
If one of the initiators requesting this led miss out because of me, I will kindly ask Clemence to cancel my order
I put an order in for 6 of them to try out.
Got the 8pcs and looking forward to these. After this batch, it doesn’t look like they’ll be available for a while
What is special / new on these emitters comparing to oter 219C R9050?
45º colour mixing TIR optics at 45º overhead angle, 5600K white balance, CC @700mA Please note that pictures CAN'T show high/low CRI differences. At best pictures can be used as a better tint comparator method. In real life the jump from low to high CRI is far more dramatic. In other words: they are binned in a different way than before (this was new for Nichia, right?) in this case a segment that is completely below the BBL.
Individual SW403 leds may have the same tint as individual SW4070e leds because there is some overlap. But these may contain very rosy leds too.

Correct Jos, except for the SW (ANSI binning). Only 219B and few other COB Nichias still use ANSI binning, the rest are all using Macadam’s binning (SM).
There’s still lottery involved unless Nichia uses zero steps Macadam  . With sm4070e at least everything will be below BBL (better warranty for green haters)

Are the 219C sm4070e all gone?
I can’t find them in the shop.
I can’t find any shipping costs on the website.

You have to select the tint from the menu on the 219C page. It’s there.

Hey Clemence,

What mcpcb did you use? That light says it comes with an XP. Can that board be made to work with those little emitters?

No, that’s not gonna work.
You need either an XQ board or (like i did) use a “Djozz board”.

Thanks, that’s what I thought. So where did you get the board?
