[PART 1] Official BLF GT Group Buy thread. Group buy officially closed! Lights shipping.

  1. payment sent. Thanks guys

Are we going to have to pay PP fees for the second payment also? 7% seems kind of steep for PP fees

Pulsar, I know what you’re saying… but at the same time it is what it is whatever it is. Do you know how many people are standing in line to take your light?

If, indeed, 7% were needed on the balance, another $6.72 would be applied for a total cost of $117.72, shipped. For a light that blows the doors off the $180 TN42.

And?

Don’t know about fees for the rest, sure hope not. Will ask for not of course

@DB Custom

There is people here that are on tight budget, so few dollars here, few there and it quickly goes way out of the intended price point.

Edit:

You’ve sent 14,96 USD to XXXXXX@gmail.com

It’s not really a big deal, but with the financial situation in my house right now, and steady little increases here and there to the agreed $111… Just don’t really want to see it get nickel and dimed up. $7 is $7 when I am trying to set aside $111,my bank accounts usually single digits come payday, and I need $118.

Basically just want a heads up to keep what I actually need in PayPal.

Bobby, there are few here with less money in hand than me myself and I. I really do understand the situation.

And yes, I did put the initial funds up for a friend that is also broke when his number came up. It remains to be seen if he will have the further funds to buy the light or if I will scramble to find those as well to further assist him. I may well end up with this myself, able to afford it or not. Or we’ll share it, like a kid in a divorce or something. lol

I hear you as well Pulsar. I had $22 left when the last paycheck came in. And my surgery in June was in the 6 figures. “I Owe! I Owe! It’s off to work I go!”

PP sent.#2

Didnt expected that so soon, good job!

Oh boy you spammed that topic great time

Ooh Dale sorry to hear that realy, what had happened? 6 figures… a DNA improoving implant or something?

Wife’s been out of work since the incident back in September, so one income for almost a year… Not to mention other expenses, and taking 2 months off from work myself.

Like I said, I’d rather not get nickel and dimed, but mostly I don’t want to be surprised by an extra $7. Don’t sound like much but could be a deal breaker if I’m not prepared at the time of final payment

It has been said that if you don’t make the purchase within 5 days of when given the code, the $14 will be refunded, less the fees. So even if it comes down to purchase time and things just can’t be done, well, it is what it is. At least that $14 won’t be lost.

Any time someone doesn’t pay, after that 5 days grace, someone that is currently on the other side of the 555 line will be pulled in. They’ll work it all out, may be a few hiccups but it’ll all work out in the end.

Damn m8 you are a lucky man! I always wished to have a decent wife cooked meal once in my lifetime like those family folks arround the world yet i aint that lucky… she is always working you know, my wife, and its not that we need it, she needs it!

Sometimes i joke with her that our sons need a second mother/woman, like those muslim fellas you know and she laughts( but i dont), the one thing that stops me is that woman workaholism is quite polular in EU and i think contageous, my sister is quite the same as the wifey…and they call it emancipation!

Gents, if it takes food off of the table it’s a bad purchase. These sound like bad purchases to me if things are that tight.

Not trying to be a downer, but one needs to see a way to keep ones head above water before the water rises.

That’s why I am asking now, so I can be prepared. I got my little play money budget in PayPal that is funded by selling off other toys. If I know now, I’ll make sure it’s there.
And my wife typically doesn’t cook meals on the regular since.

As far as I know the fees will be included in the price but if the final payment system changes, it is possible that could change as well.

I am thinking that a far better system, will be needed for the final payment but that doesn’t necessarily mean any extra fees.

Kind of expect Neal to pass along the information to LT and them sending a PayPal invoice of $97/$146 for the base scenario.

Funny how much life the money has brought into this thread, it has never been so active as now, not even at the beginning when the GT project was announced, or when we discussed the design or the reflector

BTW, is there any estimated time or date when this light will be available?

Sent payment. Providing 5 days was a good idea. I left for the mountains right after getting off work, just got back home, and fortunately there’s plenty of time to spare rather than losing out because I’m not glued to my phone.

People dropping out must have put me on the first group. I didn’t expect that, and wrote off my chances of being on this group buy. Thanks for being on the ball with a current list.

Paid 14.96 for number 553. Thanks You.

It might be a good idea just to plan on the 6.85% PayPal fee on the second payment of $97 also. Then no problems.
That will be an additional $6.65.

Then if LT does not charge it…. all the better.
If they do charge it, ya’ got it covered.
