IR Illuminator Deals [Valid for 24hrs]

Hi ,
I found these deals on Aliexpress (Valid on 11.11)

1- Osram SFH 4715AS AS Conversion Kit ( Osram 4715AS LED on 17mm Board + 17mm Driver) 8$

2- OSRAM 4715AS LED Reflowed on 20mm or 17mm MCPCB 6.92$

3- Uniquefire UF-1505 + Osram 4715AS ( 38mm ) 19$

if you know more deals please post them Below

for reflector lights the 4716AS would make much more sense, as the 4715 focuses a lot light which never hits the reflector,
while the shallow dome of the 4716 is less than Cree LED domes

for good lumens when zoomed the 4715 is good, but for small hotspot and lux the 4716 is better

also be aware that if you use a DTP star it must be isolated from the battery minus, as the thermal center pad is battery plus

Thanks for the info lexel
I just noticed a difference between OSRAM 4715AS and 4716AS

The 4716AS Has a lower radiant intensity “300 mW/sr at 1 A dc”

The Radiant intensity in 4715AS Led is “780 mW/sr at 1 A dc”

What does the Radiant intensity do ?

radiance intensity is simply how focused the bare LED is

the 4715 focuses the light in a narrow cone of 60°
while the 4716 has a wide angle of 150°

mouser has higher bins of em as new products

4715AS is the highest bin

When I reflow leds I usually don’t care about polarity .
Last week I got 2 DTP stars from Simon.
if I connect the red wire on the minus side of the DTP star , the Battery will catch fire?! :open_mouth:
Didn’t know that , Thanks for the Heads up

The polarity does not matter
The whole star has the positive voltage and with most hosts have the battery minus on the body you get a direct short

This emitter(4715as) has really crazy throw comparing to any de domed and modded flashlight and all that at about 1,5A current draw… Isn’t that a dream for our classic white emitters?

Example: This emitter in a 50mm aspheric and in combination with average night vision(first gen) gives around 800-1000m of visible throw… It is not really comparable; but when I compare that to what can I actually see at night without night vision and with classic led light I would need at least 500 kcd to achieve same performance…
