Thank you

K2 from non-cutter store? Sounds like a deal!

Keep the new stuff roll'n KD!

If you could please look out for SST-40's in higher bins, and lower temps, like 4000K-5000K. I got in 3 of your SST-40's - will be testing them soon! Everyone who has used them got good results.

Yes! I would like to see the higher bin SST40’s also! :+1:

I would like to also request Higher Bin XHP35’s E4+ and Colder Tints 75000-8000k if possible please! I have purchased many of the E2-1A’s HD’s for de-doming, best tint so far 5200-5000k, no yellow, a very nice neutral white. Would like to shoot for something around 6000-5700k de-domed.

+1

They also have Vf bins.
The lower the better i would say.

Wut? What's Vf bin? I only see N4 listed for SST-40's: http://www.kaidomain.com/Search/SearchResult.sst-40, and in the specs, looks like N4 is the middle bin:

http://www.luminus.com/products/Luminus_SST40W_Datasheet.pdf

In the PDF under the flux bins it says “Forward Voltage Binning Structure”, and it ranges from 2.5 to 3.3 Volts (!).
But i see now it also says: “Individual voltage bins are not orderable”.
So never mind then… :zipper_mouth_face:

Just have to hope to get a good one. The VJ bin KD has is pretty good, with VH being the only one better. A higher flux bin with a lower voltage bin will be more efficient.

Since these LEDs are under 2$ on AE you can just grab a few and solder the good ones on DTP Boards

The ones on KD are very nice, worth the extra few bucks for me to know for sure what bin and voltage I have. With the AE ones we have no idea.

Ohhh - yes, forgot bout those specs. KD's SST-40's are marked as VJ, so should be 2.7V-2.9V, which is pretty low, and explains the high amps we can get from them. Yes, it's certainly something that is nice to know up front what that rating is when we order them from other sources. Fortunately, KD has been pretty good with giving us the details on bin, tints, manu part #'s, etc.

Thank you

Me wanting 219C Triple in 5000K

I agree… Nichia 219C 4500k - 5000K 90cri leds would be great

Requests:

The new Lumileds Luxeon V led, in different colour temperatures.
And a new KD DTP ledboard for the Luxeon V (it has a different size footprint).

I second this request

I third this request

Excellent idea djozz, the Luxeon V looks very promising by your test. I hope highier CRI will follow in a near future.

^ I fifth it.
