Well, theoretically the production light should be tiny bit better than the stock prototypes. It's got double springs now. I'd rate it at ~5,400 lumens on good Samsung 30Q BT's. My numbers posted in the OP were 5,620 in my light box, but I'd assume my setup measures a little high. At turn on with SONY VTC6 or VTC5A's with quality button tops, or soldered tops (brass or copper discs), you could expect 6,000 lumens. Add some tweaks, and bump it up a little. Swap in XPL2 high bin LED's, even more of a bump.
On my proto round 3 light, mods: 16 AWG wires soldered in to stock 18 AWG, spring bypasses, tail PCB bypasses, and VTC6 solder tops:
6,800 at start, 6,375 at 30 secs, 66 kcd (514m) taken at 5m

No. That’s probably more like the “public” launch date. The first 500 units of Q8 are already built and ready to ship. The next batch is probably only a week or so out, and so on.
Are the expected shipping dates in the banggood order page correct? I had my order in about 2 minutes after the PM was sent out (showed around 15 pre-orders when I ordered) and my expected ship date still shows 2017-10-07.
