Anyone good with photoshop/photo touch up?

Took a picture for someone, They like the photo but there is a shadow on right side of photo I was wondering if someone could do something with the shadow. Also have another photo that look a little dull, My eyes are playing games with me and basic windows photo editor is all I have to play with.

If there was anyone that could take a look and play around with the photos it would be greatly appreciated.

I could email the photo(s) or send it another way, What ever you think would work best. Photos were taken with my phone. Not for anything special, just a picture to go along with a small paper, writing, etc...

If the picture is in raw format with low ISO a lot can be done

For cheap cameras or mobiles in jpg not much improvement possible, especially at high ISO the dark are will have tons of luminance artifacts that cant be reduced much

I believe that would be the problem, camera phone not so great.

Update: Thanks for the offers to help. It’s nothing serious or special, but you know how women are with pictures. My mum and I greatly appreciate what ever can be done.
