Recommend me a flood with a low low

Im after a torch just to navigate around indoors, not worried about battery type but preferably single cell. Must have a really low low, have memory and be as floody as possible. I love my UF-H3 but I want it much lower, similar in output to an IPhones screen would be ideal (not sure what that would be in lumens?).Thanks.

You didn’t mention price. A Zebralight (H51f for instance) can go down to .2 lumens.
A Proton Pro can do the same and can be made floody with some diffusion material behind the lens.
The Thrunite TI ($16) comes in two versions either 65 lumen and 2 lumens or 65 lumens and .04 lumen.
Basically you can diffuse any light to make it floody so you just need to concentration on the level of low that you want.
I basically use the TI for the role you’re describing as well as keeping a Proton Pro on my nightstand.

I recommend the new 4sevens Preon P0 SS. It's a single AAA light, always comes on in low, uses a full flood lense and has a .25 lumen low that should run for around 5 days.

I'd like it to be sub £30 but obviously cheaper the better, no need for robust construction, waterproof or anything else, cheap anodising is fine etc.

I really have no idea what 0.1, 1 or even 10 lumens looks like lol. My lowest at the minute are the UF-H3 or WK26 on low I think, so not very low imo.

That sounds pretty good, I'll google that now, cheers

Oh and the best thing is that it's only $25 with free shipping to the UK direct from 4sevens. The price means it slips just under the UK customs radar too ;)

I know the high mode of 25 lumens for 1.5hrs seems bad, but that's with an alkaline. Someone in the CPF thread showed runtime graphs on an eneloop in which it held regulation for over 3 hours.

a fauxton run on a single CR2032 is nice and dim. sand the dome of the emitter to maximize beam smoothness. that's the cheapest option.

but that Preon P0 looks really nice.

A Klarus ST10 has Moonlilght Low mode and is a good indoor light, but is a little throwy for an AA light.

Thrunite Neutron has a very nice firefly mode. I have the 1c and I love it. Has a nice floody beam.

I love my oligh i1 indoor and outdoor ,tiny lightweight rcr123 starts in low mode to

+1 I agree. Grab a couple of packs of these, sand the domes as you need them and even dot them around the house so there's always one to hand. The switch ability of these is ideal too as there's no need to keep pressing all the time.

I'd also look at the Preon 0 SS. I don't know that it's got memory, but with a light like this I'd probably prefer that it didn't, as I'd always want it to come on in moonlight mode anyhow.

I just ordered one myself, and I think that for $23 it will be a good little light.
