Received a defective light from Amazon, sent back with return label, they made me pay $5.64 for return shipping, emailed and asked why, they responded with an offer of $5 coupon or $3 returned to credit card, emailed back that I wanted the whole amount refunded, responded with a coupon for $10 and I took it.
What is going on with all the shenanigans? Where are all these random numbers coming from?
Amazon refunded the amount paid minus the $5.64, they sent me $10 so I am happy. Still don’t understand why they didn’t just refund the correct amount instead of trying to offer less and then offering more.
I picked up one of these Jackery ThunderX 20,000mAh USB PowerBanks on sale for $22.99 a few days ago. It was a good deal in terms of both mAh/$ and mAh/g. Right now its $19.99!
Be careful to choose the right reason for the return … defective product should have no return fee plus they pick up freight…… “I don’t like it” they may make you pay to return….
I just tried return/refund claim for Defective and broken/damaged parts. Got return label and the note that there will be a 20% restocking fee in addition to the return shipping cost. Cancel the return request. Start all over and looked for the Amazon a-z guarantee claim, but couldn't find it despite the following : To file an A-to-z Guarantee Claim on an eligible order:
Go to Your Orders.
Locate your order in the list and click File/View Claim.
Select a reason code to describe your issue.
Select Request refund through A-to-z Guarantee. <=== NO
Enter the required information and select Submit
Problem is I don't see "Select Request refund through A-to-z Guarantee." Is the a-z guarantee applies after return process is completed?
Olight S-Mini in brass PVD or SS (blackened) $39.86 ea and you can order both at the same time and more than one of each on the code. Not sure if the code can be used on multiple orders.
Just saw this posted by Andybibbville in the main Deal Alerts thread. $47 for a MF01 clone or something. Since no discussion is allowed in that thread, thought I would open it up for discussion here. Have no idea if it is legit.
It looks like the seller of that MF01-like light recently started selling an S41-like light too. Also, they were selling an S42-like light recently, but the listing now shows the light is unavailable right now because Amazon pulled the listing due to poor customer feedback. From the handfull of reviews, it looks like some people got lights that were DOA and/or didn’t match the listing.
On the other hand it’s $47, with Prime next day shipping, so you’ll know quickly… I was a long way from spending $50 on a light, but I’m tempted…
Got the 911-L1 today. As others have reported in freeme's Group Buy thread, it seems to be the real deal. The reason I'm posting about it here and not in freeme's thread is that it seems kind of rude to discuss a competing deal in a group buy thread. I have nothing against freeme or his group buy. He's a great member and offers great deals.
The light seems to be every bit as high quality as the MF01 I purchased from joker145. I haven't measured lumens yet because the light doesn't fit my integrating tube. It's got the 2 LED leads that the second version has. The bezel may be thread locked. I couldn't get it open with 2 strap wretches, but it's late and I'm tired.
As l have posted in another thread about the 911, l chatted with a friend in Mateminco (the makers of the Astrolux MF series) and he confirms that they made it at the request of a businessman who has an Amazon store. He purposely lost money on the the first few deals in exchange for maximum exposure of his store.
