Is it just the angle of the photo deceiving me, or does the positive end stick up just enough so that it will work in a torch which normally requires a button top, magnet or solder blob, such as a Klarus Mi7?
Thanks, the 14500’s I currently have are marked 800mAh but measure 650 at best and won’t make contact so I have been looking for a replacement available from a supplier that will ship to S.A. I think this fits the bill perfectly.
I have been asked about it a couple of times, last time I was asked it had arrived and I put it directly on the test station (My queue for that test station has been rather low recently, but I expect that is fixed soon).
Just tested my newly received PKCell ICR14500 750mAh (bought from AliExpress) @ 1A drain, using EBD-USB+ and a AA battery holder and USB-to-alligator-clip adapter (might introduce some resistance…) similar result.
Actually, I designated a cut-off voltage of 2.75v (have I damage the battery life by draining below 3.0v?)
(829mAh if drained to 2.75v)
The seller item specs does not indicate a standard charging current (only the max continuous charging current as stated above is 1C or 750mA). At what current is it suggested to charge this 14500 cell? Is 0.50A OK or 0.30A better?
