Ok...GearBest is officially getting on my nerves!

Today I have a “Item in delivery”, from GB, but that is not in delivery to me but to the local post company. In the App “17track” it says “item in delivery”, but in Bpost International website (and in GB site) is says “your shipment has been delivered to the postal operator of the country of destination and will be delivered in the coming days”.

You can look at this in a few ways.

This has NOTHING to do with expediency, it has to do with a bit of deception!

Last June-Flash sale-SONY VTC6-4/$20. A few days after I ordered them I said to myself, hmmm VTC6, $5 EACH? Seems to good to be true,UNLESS they are OLD STOCK! 12 Days later I got them and I was right.

BOD=6.22.2016. I received them 6.26.2017! A year OLD!

I suggested they should let their customers know that they are selling OLD STOCK for a flash sale or just in general.

They offered $5 refund. I said that is NOT acceptable, how about $10. They obliged.

I got VTC6 OLD STOCK FOR $2.50 each. That is not a bad deal, it is also NOT what I thought I was getting.

Oviously the average Joe would not have known and gone through the effort I did to get some kind of refund.

Positive: They reimbursed me

Negative: Was deceptive in selling OLD STOCK

Doubtful I would order again, because I would not know what I was getting.

CHEWY.COM. Where I get CAPO his food. Place is unbelievable. If something is less than 6 months fresh, free bag. Can dented, bag torn,FREE product.

No lie I just Got $130 worth of FREE food and another product! Dog food did not have a Velcro seal or Zip lock and expired in 5 months!

Gave me that bag FREE and replaced with another one, PLUS gave me money back for first bag and then gave me a FREE AIR TIGHT container for my Dog food!

NOW THAT IS GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE,ONLY IN THE USA! Illumns and Liinwholesale are pretty close to that!

,Thanks for letting me ramble!

Yeah, I poked around for more info, what tracks SFEx, etc., and one site (forgot which) said something to that effect. Might’ve just been handed off to the USPS or something…

They make me nervous… :zipper_mouth_face:

Dear, sorry for my late reply.

I check, they are in stock, so I can not check the real problem.

Please PM by your facebook account: Group Game Bài

Give them your order number, they will answer you within 2hours commonly.

If they do not dispatch package for you before next Monday, please ask for full refund, I will give you another solution, Dear, Next Thursday.

Dear, please check your Gearbest ticket. Thank you so much.

Dear, do not worry, some shipping companies will updated their info to the website a little bit delayed.

Hope you can ubderstand.

The service center can call the shipping company for instant check.

Hope you can trust them as well.

Okay… but how bad are a year old bateries, compared to year old dog food? The food is uneatable in best case, the batteries, properly stored, shouldn’t be much worse than new ones.

Just a followup, I got the goodies just fine.

I just did. Thanks!

Hi Gearbest!
Worry not, I contacted “you” by PM and through the support at GB site and the things are on the move, the answers given clarified the situations.
As I perceive, the status of the shipment may take, at least, 15 days to update.
The Nitecore TIP will probably arrive next week, the OPUS charger arrived yesterday, and the Sony VTC6 are also on the way!

Thanks for you answer and attention!
BTW, I am not a Facebook user, but thanks for the option!

Enjoy your time off and get back with new deals
Best regards :+1:

It is really simple. You can justify it all you want with your Dog food comparison!

They were DECEPTIVE in selling a product which is suppose to be new. Being on sale or not on sale has nothing to do with it!

Also, these batteries have a life expectancy no matter if you use them or not.So batteries that sat for 1 year will not be able to be used as long as ones that are 3 , 4 months old when they are received… They start DEGRADING from inception.

do widzenia

s I just bought some more batteries from my hometown dealer[Liionwholesale .com]. Jon’s batteries are ALWAYS fresh. The VTC5A I just got were Born On 6.13.2017[ZF13],were not even 3.5 months old when I got them. ALL his batteries are like that. Never got any over 4.5 months old. :+1:

There can certainly be a difference between an honest and consistent dealer in the USA compared to CHINA.

wolfdog1226: Any chance for testing the batteries you have received and comparing to new ones?, check how much did the batteries degrade?…|
gearbest - would it be possible to ensure that ‘bppost’ shipping would be clearly announced as ‘tracking may not be possible’?… Because I have received information that it ‘can’t be tracked’ after shipping…

^

The only testing equipment I have is a voltage meter and my OPUS.

The only other VTC6 I have are 1.5 years old. I only tested them for capacity when they were new.Really no way to compare the Two of them now.

I got the batteries for $2.50 each with my refund. If they last me 2 years it may be worth the aggravation of all the emails and time I spent b/4 I got my refund.

My whole point is they were deceptive in selling them as new.

Well… ‘new’ can mean ‘not used before’. And about the ‘best before’ date, I don’t think that GB employees even thought about it in year old ones (any info on degradation of this particular batteries? My cells are taking age with grace, NCR18650B over 2 years old and stored @ 4,15 have ~3100-3200 mAh, and IR didnt get raised much - ~60 ohms from starting 45-50. Of course that is different chemistry…).
So I would not say about ‘deception’ here… but of course everyone has right to his opinion

Here is a TORTURE like test where it shows the VTC6 DEGRADE faster than 30Q and LGHG2

So… why buy VTC6es, then?

Because I just recently discovered that chart! although the older ones I have don’t seem to be faring too bad. I won’t be buying them anymore. I will stick with 30q and VTC5A.

OK… but how about degradation during storage (it was a ‘torture’ test with burning hot teperatures dichrarge…)?
And by the way, what was the voltage on your cells?

it’s futile to keep debating this. Gearbest sold me cells that are a year old and I felt they were deceptive.

There ya go…
