ENEDED

Switching to the 70.2 should not have any effect on the output or throw since this light uses a constant current driver. If it used to FET driver, then output would be greatly increased.

So you think the appearance and shape of the lights looks very good?

Interested in White with NW tint. (depending on GB price

Ah, so output bin is the same, but Vf is lower? So a bit less heat with the same output if I’m understanding correctly? I thought throw improved just a bit as the four quarters are placed closer to each other (cross is thinner). Perhaps tint and tint shift is most interesting…
Personally I think MT03 is a really great design; definitely one of the best in my opinion. I also just love the look of a bunch of decent cooling fins, which happen to be practical as well.
Perhaps the tailcap can be a bit thicker, as the light now appears to be sort of tapered: huge top, and relatively narrow bottom. Honestly I think I should get this light sooner or later; I’m just hooked on flood lights. :sunglasses:

Put me on the list.

I wish the UT03 project was active. I like its ergonomics better, but I already have a MT07, and want to see about getting a matching MT03 to mod into a serious lumen monster like TomE did.

Interested in a black light with NW emitters

In if 70.2 and in NW.

Is this instead of the Utorch UT03? Kinda makes it redundant doesn’t it?

Interested -CW

You basically have two different companies fighting for your hard-earned dollars. This is good, because the competition keeps the prices low.

Unfortunately the UT03 is on hold right now, so it may come out later on or it may be canceled. Nobody knows.

Comrades what do you mean CW /NW? Which temperature in Kelvin?
I always think WW<3500,3500 <NW<5000.5000<Cw
But 3500-5000 it is huge difference.

Freeme, can you send me the price? I think I know what they sell for, but want to make sure.

Thanks

Interested in a NW

My opinion is that the consensus here states neutral white is 5000K. Occasionally some neutral white lights are 4500K, but the majority of neutral white lights are 5000K.

HM…I have many “NW” lights. All of them have temperature 3300-4400.So I interested in Haikelite opinion.

Based on my perception with various flashlights, for me, I consider these:
WW < 4000, 4000 <= NW <= 5000, 5000 < CW

I have a Convoy C8 with 4C tint bin, which is so far my ‘reference’ neutral white, being 4300-4500. I also have a Convoy L6 with 5C tint bin, which is on border with warm white. For me, HaikeLite’s neutral white is on border with cool white (I have an MT03 with that option, also ordered a few more SC02 and MT01 a few weeks before). This is why I could welcome anything warmer (if they could make it available), than their 5000 NW option.

Interested in 70.2 NW.

Forgot to add that i am interested in XHP70.2 and OP reflector aswell.

I haven’t checked into this thread for a while, but after your post I’m now on the fence about the light. My first impression was that there’s something ‘clumsy’ about its appearance (in lack of a better word)… a bit like something that a child assembled out of Lego bricks, before they ran out of round parts for one of the fins. Or maybe a concept study for a 1970s electric Braun shaver that was never realised. It is really difficult for me to see it as anything other than an unfinished prototype. At the beginning I still thought that was something that gave it a special charm, but after reading your observations I’m starting to wonder whether I was just fooling myself, in order to justify adding yet another lumens monster to my collection.

The design of the MT07S is in a completely different league, and after seeing the photo and reading about it, I had to put my name on the list.

Once I started collecting flashlights, I realised that it would be nice to have one or two of several different types, so I can see which lights fit which purpose. At the moment I’ve already got two floody high lumens lights and I wouldn’t normally need another one, but it annoys me that they don’t have a decent medium mode. It is understandable that a light won’t run in turbo very long (and I usually only use it for short bursts), but if a light puts out 10k lumens, I want it to be able to run at 25% - 30% of that for a sustained amount of time, instead of the 1000 or 1500lm that are easily put out by much cheaper lights. The MT03 hits that sweet spot very nicely with its 2700 lumens mode.

Decisions, decisions…

Interested in the white one, and as always, depending on price

Interested in White and NW

I see that this light is now on preorder, stock due to arrive 25th october.

How is the groupbuy looking?
