And soooooooo much fun!!! I don’t know how I’m ever supposed to enjoy a light without ramping driver again… can’t stop going up and down, up and down, and up, and down again (ad nauseam) each time I walk my dog at night. Somehow it makes me feel like I’m at least 30 years younger again!
It’s everything about the Emisar that simply puts a smile on your face. It’s the secure click of the button, the overall machining and finish, the smooth threads, the clean appearance of the spring section of the tailcap, the crisp lettering on the back and font and layout. Seriously, just check out the back of the Emisar for the lettering and experience how much effort has gone into it. Can’t wait to receive the “grainy” cyan and green versions.
For the record - and I’ve said this before - I’m not into ramping, and I’m not into FET drives. And yet I consider the Emisar perfection.
Thanks It is more of curiosity, as I have the Jaxman M8 under sight for so long, but not the Emisar D1 comes and makes things complicated :person_facepalming: Despite being different lights in terms of functioning, of course!
Thanks!
Glen I gather that you appreciating a flashlight is high praise indeed! I have been thoroughly impressed with each of Hank’s emisar branded lights. I have 5 D4s (all different emitter options) and a single D1 (so far!)
I notice it only on a white wall at around 10 feet. In real use, it’s not noticeable at all. BTW, It’s not a dot from what I’m seeing. I’d call it the center of the hot spot. It’s minor and not a big deal IMO.
So you can have an idea of what the D1 looks like in the Convoy S2+ holster, here are some pics. I happen to have both, but I don’t normally use them in this combination. You can see that it fits and will close, but because of the big head it feels like the velcro wants to separate. The stiff fabric would probably bend more easily over time with use. Perhaps it could work for someone.
