Want to review products for companies? Found Thank you!

Hi all,……………….FOUND THANK YOU.
.
.
Lets start here: I promise no one anything! Only that I will forward your name if some requirements are met.
.
.
Basic scenario:
I review flashlights on my YouTube channel. For this reason Amazon sellers and other companies contact me from time to time asking if I will review their products. Some of these I do accept as a gift and they appear on my channel as I see fit. Some of the products are flashlights but I really don’t have the time to make more than one or two videos a week so I decline. Some of them are not flashlights or outdoor related so I decline them.
.
.
.
What I’m looking for:
It seems a shame to me that companies are willing to give away free stuff, but it’s not being given away because I don’t have a need for it, so I am looking for volunteers who would like to review products. Basically any of the overflow products which I am unwilling or unable to review I will forward your information to the company as an alternative.
.
.
.
What are the requirements?
You must have some kind of established work going. IE you need to be able to show that you are a reviewer. A YouTube channel with at least 10 videos on it, a blog with 10 reviews would also work, or a string of reviews in your name at BLF. Something to show that you can do the needed work and have any kind of a following.
.
.
.
What do I need to do?
Post a link to your “platform” (where your reviews are).
How to contact you. Via PM at BLF? On your YT chanel, contact us on the blog etc. If you want to be contacted by email but don’t want to post your addy you can PM it to me.
What kind of products your interested in. Flashlights only? Anything outdoor? Other electronics? All of it!!
.
.
.
—————THE BOTTOM LINE———————
.
Are you just offering us your left overs?
Yes…………It is things I am not interested in, but that I think may be a good opportunity to grow for someone else. The chance to do it and get some free stuff along the way. If your not interested I TOTALLY understand!
.
.
.
What’s the value of the stuff were talking about?
I see a lot of this stuff listed for hundreds of dollars “on sale” for 50 bucks. So around $15-$60 real price on average. Some examples are the lesser brand name flashlights you see on amazon, interior lighting systems, blue tooth headphones, speakers, sub $100 cameras etc.
.
.
How often might we be contacted.
Again I promise NOTHING! What I will say is that almost every week (some times multiples in a week) companies contact me with products I decline. I will forward them the information of interested parties as I can and maybe a link to this thread.
.
.
My only advice
Write some kind of a policy and make them agree to it before sending the products. I tell every person who wants to have a review made before hand that what appears on my channel is up to me. What is said about the products is up to me. Should they send product, its a gift. Not payment for an endorsement of any kind.
.
Say what you want. If there is something you think could be better then be honest (this is the reason for the review policy).
.
Also remember what your holding in your hand is someones very hard work. Their lively hood, and the reason they sent it to you is because they want to grow their business, so be honest, but be kind.

Interested parties:

1.SubSailorVet (most products)
2.Robo819 (flashlights, knives, some electronics)
3.Lexel (flashlights) Can do English or German)
4.SoCalTiger (flashlights or photography)
5.FPV (FPV, quad copters, car/tool related0
6.giorgoskok (flashlights)
7.lumenzilla (flashlights/knives)
8.Terry White (flashlights, cameras)
9.dhvl1357 (flashlights, cameras)

I think it’s nice of you to share with others.
I’m sure there is stuff you don’t want to deal with, but someone else would be happy to do review of it.

I wish I have more reviews so I can be a candidate here

So how does anyone gain experience if they have none, but are willing to?

Buy some stuff an review.

Do you have a mill VoB

Sometimes things can be easier then initially thought :person_facepalming:

Those are the reviews I have the most faith in

I got reviews on BLF and TLF so far basically flashlights and chargers

The number is definately over a dozen right now
I can do the reviews in english or german

They can contact me with PM or my e-mail

I’d be interested in reviewing anything flashlight or photography (cameras, studio lighting, etc.) related but open to any kind of consumer electronic, really. You can see my signature for flashlight reviews here on BLF (I also CC those to CPF). PM on BLF is fine for anything flashlight related and I can PM you my email address for anything else if it comes up.

I already get a bunch of requests now for totally random stuff like bluetooth headphones, compasses and stuff like that. Those I wouldn’t be interested in.

I would be interested in reviewing anything in relation to:

- FPV

- quadcopter

- cars (obviously this is a difficult one as cars won’t be given away for a review and car-related products are also only relevant if the brand/make/setup/technical specs match)

- tools (tools in relation to cars, fpv, quads, …)

  • I can not review anything that might have shipping restrictions because I travel on the job (i.e. don’t want a illegal knife shipped to the UK if I happen to be there or something like that)

I am not sure if you get any request in these areas so I’ll leave it at this post. Also not sure whether there are any limitations in regards to language, region, country, etc. In my opinion the areas mentioned above are already established with known/bigger channels.

Well , i make some reviews on my free time , mainly on BLF . I’m only interested in reviewing flashlights , i just don’t want to make review on something i can’t be sure it’s good or not , and i could be contacted by PM here or by email (i can PM you my address) .

All my reviews are here : http://budgetlightforum.com/user/16717/my-threads . I believe the last 10 reviews represent how my reviews are these days .

Thanks for the opportunity , very kind of you .

I don’t. Yet.
.

Please PM me your first name and email which I will add to the document that I forward to interested sellers.

.

What’s FPV?
.

Just take what ever lights you already have and start making reviews. Just being an active member here means you probly know more about flashlights than 80% of the world.
.
My suggestion for beginners is keep the pace quick, stay on topic, and say what you really think. If you love something say so. Is you think something could use substantial improvement say that too.
Your first loyalty should be to your own conscience, and to your viewers. If you do find a problem with a product try to say it a nice way. Companies are made up of people too. If someone doesn’t like the review you made of their products, they should make better products. Many companies that frequent BLF take our advice quite seriously and make changes when needed, thus resulting in more sales.

It sounds really great for sharing things to others. But I am just a beginner. :person_facepalming:

FPV in this case means first-person-view related items for RC, quadcopters, cars, … - say, a product like this:
(link goes to Gearbest, just as an example)

I would be interested in lights and action cameras only. Please check my threads to decide. Thanks!

Cheers!

So, if you are already reviewing free products provided by vendors you can get more free stuff to review while those trying to establish themselves by finding and buying at their own expense items not already reviewed to hell are at a severe disadvantage… what a biased and self-serving ecosystem. As a bonus these reviewers receiving free items to review often sell the items received and not only receive more free items but a cash profit. Nice racket.

I’ve been doing reviews for Amazon sellers since April 2016. I try to write complete honest reviews and I have sellers offering me their products free or heavily discounted. Amazon changed their rules for product for review last November so the offers aren’t as much as they used to be. These pics are several months old and the shelves arent quite full, but they are jam full now. I’ve accumulated 2844 items ranging from Bluetooth speakers and headphones, action cameras, virtual reality headsets, drones, every cellphone accessories made, lots of flashlights, backpacks, camping, hunting and tactical gear, red dot scopes, sniper scopes, carbon fiber hunting arrows, ip cameras, security cams, hidden spy cams in smoke detectors and clocks, pet supplies, you name it I had them throwing things at me. Ive got a lot of stuff so I really don’t want to be a dick and ask Matt for stuff to review. So please let someone else have a chance to get some stuff cause I’ve got what I need. Not to be arrogant but I would be happy to give advice on review writing if anyone wants some pointers. I did good enough reviews for sellers to offer me so much, so I must have been doing something right. Good luck to all you guys doing this. I hope you get some cool stuff.

Bran, don’t be discouraged. We were all beginners once. None of us were born knowing this stuff. You can do it.

Same thing here man. Everyone who gets anywhere did it the same way. By taking the first step. You cant expect to start at the top. Most everyone who is at the top of any ecosystem is there because they worked the tail off to get there. In the case of this one a great way to get started is simply by reviewing products on Amazon that you already bought anyway. Leave a semi detailed review on that stuff. I know for sure amazon sellers troll the feedback on other products to find reviewers because they have told me that’s how they found me.

I have updated the list and also the OP. I think at this point we have enough participants to fill the need. Thanks gang.
