Q8, PMS SEND TO THOSE WITH ISSUES BLF soda can light

Yes, you guys have done a great job keeping everything ā€œbetween the ditchesā€ here. But, now that youā€™ve got experience with BLF group buys, Iā€™ll be expecting it to go even smoother next time! :sunglasses:

David there will always be bumps on the road to a BLF special light.

And the driver get more complex (GT), there are other manufacturers.
And if itā€™s too smooth itā€™s boring :cowboy_hat_face:

Mine are in ILLinoisā€¦ any day now!

I set it for the time based step down, 3 minutes was what I intended to set it as. If I were to do it based upon temp what is a good temp to do so? Also how many lumens does the light step down to.

Thanks

Well, 3 mins is the default. If yours is stock, 3 mins works pretty well. For temperature setting, all depends what you want it at. An externally measured temp of about 50-60C works well, but even 50C is feel'n quite warm, all depends.

:crown: :+1:

Although tracking from China is a muddy, muddled mystery to me, I did figure out my Q8 is in New York City! Now it just has to travel to Florida with the snowbirds!

Has anyone noticed or mentioned the behavior where if the light is switched off when ramped below 50% the switch only flashes once and quick method of disabling switch leds doesnā€™t work? Sorry if I missed it if mentioned already.

Yeahā€¦ it is almost funny. My last two finally got out of customs the other day in California & have been on two completely different routes to final destination (me in AL). One has hit every small town possible it seems since it left Arizonaā€¦. Comical to watch for sureā€¦ā€¦

Sometimes I look at those small towns that Fedex drives through on google maps, and imagine what life is like for the people there. Especially if it has a unique name, or if I vaguely remember hearing the name somewhere.

nc hereā€¦ā€¦shipped sept 29thā€¦.fedex label was created same dayā€¦ā€¦hasnt moved sinceā€¦ā€¦ughhā€¦ā€¦

You guys are lucky, look what our great postal service calls detailed tracking :person_facepalming:

Cheers David
Edit ā€¦. shipped 29 sept

Are they raised flat tops? If not, you need to check that all 4 are getting contact.

If they are the red ones, then it should be raised flat tops which is perfectly acceptable.

Got mine today, and it blinks out v.1.1 Shouldnā€™t it be v.1.2?

I had to look twice before I realised that it is no joke, LOL. The ā€˜weā€™ve got itā€™ and the ā€˜itā€™s coming todayā€™ are are at least real things happening, but the ā€˜itā€™s on its wayā€™ is the ā€˜weā€™re not going to tell you what is happening to your package right nowā€™.

Yeahā€¦ I know what you mean. Probably, in many cases; life is a lot more ā€˜simpleā€™ compared to most in a bustling metro area. (which simple works for meā€¦ )

I do the same thing with the ā€œLocationsā€ listed below peoples avatars here on BLF.
For instanceā€¦ā€¦ Yours says, ā€œEastern Woodlands in the Wilderness of North Americaā€.

I picture that in my mind as somewhere between East Tennessee & Pennsylvania, possibly even on up to Maine or into Canada; out pretty much away from it all surrounded by nature & a lot of mostly untouched land & woods.

Right or wrong, Iā€™ll most likely never know. But it is fun to imagine.

Yeahā€¦ I see what you mean David, not a lot to go on thereā€¦ā€¦.

The blink or blinks when stopping ramp indicate what is used , once for the 7135 chip and twice for fet. You are below fet levels so it blinks once and that makes the temporary disabling of indicator LEDs harder for there is less time to switch off, half the time compared to two blinks using fet.

Itā€™s blinking v1, not v1.1.
NarsilM V1 is what itā€™s supposed to have and is the latest.

Oh thanks. Mea culpa didnā€™t follow the thread sometimes. Mine is flawless btw.
