Hello, new to this site and signed up because I need some help, this switch was taken from an old schwinn flashlight but I want to use this as a power switch for those little DC motors. Things is, I have no clue what the posi and negative side is and there isn't any pictures of this particular switch online that I found, if anyone could help me, that would be great. Thank you.
I can’t really see very well from that small photo, but most switches don’t really have a “positive” and “negative” side. They’re just a set of contacts that are either open or closed, allowing the circuit to complete or interrupting it. There’s no “directionality” requiring that current flow in one particular direction or the other. Usually.
Looks like a two way switch, so might have a common and individual outputs.

Ah, yeah, that’s possible. But even then the switch itself doesn’t really have polarity, it just depends on how its being installed and used. Personally I’d just buzz it out with a multimeter to figure out what’s what.
