Haikelite MT07S CREE XHP70.2 Flashlight--now released

If you shut down the thermal control, the output will maintains even it reachs 80 degree C.

i like your flashlights mostly (tested 3 of them)
but idea to put XHP with SMO is strange.

i mean XHP performs best with OP.
may be you guy thought about XPL-hi or L2 there? good old decisions for throwers.

anyway, i`m glad to see that you keep on doing new stuff.

It's XHP70.2, not XHP70. The XHP70.2 performs well with an SMO - if focused well, cant see the black hole, and throw is definitely better. In fact if you are interested in max throw, we've been using SMO's with the XHP70 in the past. Now pretty much we are all switching to the XHP70.2.

I’ve got some 70 vs 70.2 in an L6 with SMO comparison pictures here.

If you look at the darker shots you can see the improved beam pattern of the 70.2. The dark hole is much reduced. When viewed at normal brightness levels the 70.2 appears very smooth. I got 830 meters on my light and I know my numbers are a bit lower than average.

woah, there is a chance i can boil an egg with this light, i guess :stuck_out_tongue:

Hi

My MT07S stopped working after one day.
Work dwo modes, in one flicker, I can not turn off the flashlight.
The flashlight (the reflector) probably I see smoke rising.

What could be damaged?

Probably driver (I mean what else?). I’d contact vendor immediately for DOA warranty.

@hIKARInoob, thanks for the quick reply.
Tomorrow I can record a video that shows the damage.

Are you from HaikeLite?

In many reviews people write that this model can work with 2 * 18650 - is not that true?

Hey how are you man? No I’m not from Haikelite, hehe. From what I know, the MT07S is 4S (4 cells in series), so you do need all four cells for the light to work. This is not the case with the larger MT07 which can operate with just two cells.
Both Banggood and Gearbest have a DOA (dead on arrival) warranty. Within three days for Banggood and seven days for Gearbest (IIRC), if you report a defect, then you don’t have to pay for shipping to China. So it’s best to upload video to Youtube and report problem within this period.

Nice video and impressive beamshots from Mr. Charles Bridgtec

Got it, mine is NW, very impressive and brighter than my RC40 3500lm. 4500lumens heat up whole light fast even the batt tube. I took battery out and batteries are not as warm though.

I used small magnet to make contact. Don’t feel like to remove the +ve batt plastic yet.

HaikeLite MT07S HI Upgrade Version 3000Lumens

Interesting…360kcd

How is this model an upgrade if it has 2,000 less lumen? What is different about it? Did they switch to a sliced dome xhp50.2?

My guess was it’s XHP35 HI, stating it’s 3000 lumens just like Astrolux stating MF02 is 3000 lumens. I’m interested in actual throw figure, as 1200 m is probably not the case.

Yeah I think your right. A sliced xhp50 or 70 would show the seperating lines between the dies. A sliced 50.2 or 70.2 would still have the yellow around the edges. It must be a XHP35-HI.

The original MT07S is a pretty impressive light with huge output. It also throws incredibly well considering the relatively small diameter and overall size/weight of the light. An XHP35 HI variant must result in amazing lux value… (but not 360k lux I think…).

An HD would be great for this light, too. I’m on board with a NW HI.

Will the original MT07S out-throw the K40M Acebeam? If so, by how much?

I don’t have K40M to compare side by side, but my MT07S NW measured around 70kcd. I think it out throw K40M by around 10% comparing to online review of K40M.
