Guess mine counts as extremely ‘uneven brightness’ - one bank always 100%, can’t be turned off at all (have to unscrew the tail or head).
By the way, Chinese holidays ended already? because I still don’t have any response from BG. And after that, it will be waiting for the light to be shipped back, then shipped again to me…
disappointing a little.
Just so everyone is aware Banggood can not ship batteries to the US for some unknown amount of time due to a battery related fire at the Hong Kong airport. They are issuing refunds if you placed an order for batteries. Same with most batteries at Gearbest.
That is to be expected from Banggood page. Mine still shows “not found” there. This is normal behaviour for Banggood. IME. Usually nothing ever shows there until I have actually received the item.
You have to take the tracking number from BG and paste it into e.g. E404 to get results.
I was looking for them as well and settled with flat tops from GearBest’s “China” warehouse. Those are available to ship for a decent deal. I couldn’t find button tops at any reasonable price.
Banggood got button top ones and now idk where else to order them…. I know with a small mod by remove those plastic rings can let the flashlight take flat top batteries. But I like to keep my stuff as they are from factory if nothing is broken…
How difficult would it be for a noob like me to replace the driver, if I practice some soldering first? I’d like to get started on some electronics projects, and this looks really tempting. If it is too advanced, I would be happy to pay someone to do it.
Would these drivers be available loaded with the caps, resistors and chips? I’d be able to solder the wires, but have never worked with such small componnents.
