Nitecore HC33 XHP-35 1800 lumen Headlamp

Hey lads as you all know i love to drone on about headlamps so check out this new bad boy. Now i wish i had one to review or to just use when i am fishing lol.

Looks interesting but its priced fairly high even higher then the Concept 1 when it was first released. Presales are coming in at a rectum hurting 158 SGD Singaporean dollars? Which is about 116 USD.

It look like a beefed up version of the HC30 my beloved light ah such nostalgia.

Appears to be the same driver as the Concept 1. The modes and output are very similiar.

Hey Chris how are you man? Yeah price… pfff… I always loved the Acebeam headlight with MT-G2 emitter, especially in sand/tan colour. That thing is also $100+. For that kind of money I’m not going to enjoy the light, it’s simple as that. But then again, for 70 bucks I got myself a MF01, muahahahahaa!! 10000 Nichia lumens oh yeah.

I was excited until i saw the price. I guess i’m back to my plan for a 50.2 in my hc30.

Hey mate i am good thanks. You? Yea the MF01 is a bargain at that price cant beat it.

Yea this is pre-sale price i think it will be around the Concept 1 price once in stock at our usual sellers. The Concept 1 was under 100 USD when released i think maybe even 80 USD with the coupon? I think i paid around 40USD for my HC30 and i got mine the day it was released well i bought it the same day took a few weeks to get here lol.

If we can score for a good price it looks okay. I would of liked to see a proper 1000 lumen high mode like the HC30 seeing as turbo will step down quick it only weight 51 grams. Actually looking at the candela the reflector will be smaller then the Concept 1.

They apparently include a Nitecore cell in the pack.

I’m fine thanks! The odd thing is that the concept 1 is priced much more attractively at $65, just like the P30 (Banggood). With discount it’s about $50 or so. So for a Nitecore it’s a good deal. So I’m not sure how cheap this headlight will be… Nitecore’s pricing is really odd.

On Nitecores IG it says $64.95

Just waiting for some coupon to get this light for less than 50 bucks.

I’m definitely interested in this - the HC30 is my go to running headtorch. If it can be short tubed (something I never managed with the HC30) and the beam pattern is similar to the HC30 then I’d be even happier.
But price is always a decider.

+1

in the $100 category I want the Acebeam H10 MT-G2 tan emitter headlamp High is 1,000 and turbo is 2,000 lumens and creamy flood (go team flood)

I guess that I find something which you may be interested. Fasttech is doing the promotion for Nitecore HC 30, 33, 60, 70.

HC33=$35.99, HC33=$41.99, HC60=$38.99, HC70=$67.99

There’s a HC33 groupbuy from member Fin17 too.

Thanks mate! I think the HC70 looks like an awesome option i like the battery being separate.

I am not sure if i will buy a HC33 i cant see 1800 lumens being to comfy on my head lol

1800 lumens are too strong me because my eyes are very sensitive with light than normal people. For HC33, it has different modes which are 1, 70, 240, 780, 1800 lumens. You may choose 70 lumens for most of the time. Much more comfortable than 1800 lumens.

Yes, 1800 lumens are really good in case you are lost somewhere and looking for right way out of forrest + emergency purposes. For normal mode 70/240 is good enought.

I have H600w Mk II XM-L2 neutral White

but a wants to buy HC33, too. Where i can buy it for best price now? Thanx

Just received mine from Illumn.com and charged up the included battery. The build quality is great and feels good in the hand. It has a unibody design where the head and battery tube is one piece, which allows the entire flashlight body to be used for heat dissipation, which is an excellent design IMO. Also the deep fins in the back of the head are excellent for head shedding. Light looks great too.

However, I don't like the UI. Click to turn on, click to change modes, and click and hold to turn off. If I knew the UI was like this, I would not have bought the light. The single button UI on the Olights, Thrunites, and Acebeams are so much more intuitive and simple. Also I'm surprised Nitecore used Micro USB instead of the much preferred USB-C given how new this light is. Nitecore should offer a 4000K version since head lamps are much more useful and easier on the eyes at warmer temperatures. I'm disappointed in all the manufacturers offering CW only. Even Olight is starting to offer NW emitters like in the popular M2R Pro and Warrior X Pro.

Output measurements taken at 2s after turn-on using Texas Ace Lumen Tube calibrated with Maukka lights. Spectrometer used is the Sekonic C-800-U

SKV89 - I’m confused with all the HC models and modes 1 - 5. Isn’t it all with just the HC33?
