The battery on my Manker LAD died after about 10 cycles. Light would light when on cable but not on battery. Binned it.
Anyone else experienced these problems?
I’m a bit pissed off as I like the LAD a lot. Might buy a new one unless this turns out to be a common problem.
Might have just been a disconnected wire, should have opened it up for a look.
Oh ok, it’s my fault, shouldn’t have mentioned it. Hypothesis is false as it worked with cable connected …
…so it was drawing power through the cable.
Battery problem, either dud or disconnected, but we’ll never know 
Pity Manker isn’t reacting.
holidays now in china, i have LAD bought from ebay says there seller is away until oct 9.
Ordered the Astrolux K1 from Banggood with coupon, so cheap. Will write review when I get it. First impression is that it is too big, but ok. Manker would be preferred if not dying on 10 cycles.

i bought 2 lights and they shipped them out quickly, weird they dont respond?

you are not a flashaholic but an appliance user! 
next time just plug it in and let it go a few hours.
the charge control chip may have sensed a very low cell and was in pre charge mode.
it may or may not have eventually come back.
