Can anyone step up for an AA/2AA only BLF budget flashlight?

My ideal in the single AA format is the Jetbeam MK-1 with tighter and more turns in the head threads. Also no pwm and a neutral 219b/c dedomed on an OP reflector. Retain the clip and AA/14500 support.

All I want from a BLF 1xAA torch:

• Nichia 219b (or Cree XM-L2/XP-G2 with possibility of warm white tint) emitter
• Three modes (0.5lm → 15-20lm → as bright as possible without sacrificing efficiency)
• HAIII anodized aluminium host
• Reverse clicky switch with L-M-H distribution and mode memory, or M-L-H without memory; electronic switch, only if there’s no “press and hold” to turn on or turn off, because I hate that

Basically an improved Lumintop Tool AA or Thrunite T10, with better mode distribution than both.

Manker’s UI has become a deal breaker for me. I’ve discovered that if a light doesn’t turn off with a single click, I’ll never use it.

+1 to this. I don’t intend on buying any Mankers that work like that.

I hate parasitic drain. So I'd like to stay away from them as much as possible, especially for a AA or AAA light. just a good old mechanic tailswitch for me please. ;)

Taking flashlights to China reminds me of when I took vodka to Russia… LOL (True story)

About the MT22A True but

Its a shame its plastic and also no 14500 (power) option.

Yep. So please, no Nitecore.

The other 2xAA light thread got me thinking. Any chance Jaxman would be interested in working together with BLF on a light? The M2 is pretty well received and he is definitely ‘one of us’.

I love the M2, put one of the drivers in a P60 pill as well. It works well off of 1 AA cell also. I wish it had a third mode, something much lower.

We might look at this project. This would be a budget light so there would need to be some volume of sales to help hold down costs. Lets put together a reasonable wish list. This has been talked about forever. Let’s do it!

I do wish this would happen… Thanks for the support!

I would agree to keep costs low on this. There are plenty of fancy AA lights out there.
Bare bones, reliable and cheap.

@texaslumens Do you ship from China? Because if it is US based, going to be very expensive for me. Cheers

If my vote counted I would vote for AA/14500 or AA/123A lithium combo.

I would be interested in this light too. 2xAA, a neutral white tint and basic UI. It also has to be reliable.

I think this lumintop is nice:

13 dollar with code IYP365

That’s an AAA torch. The topic is AA lights.

As far as form factor goes, the ‘perfect’ 2xAA light for me would look a lot like a 4Sevens Mini AA2/M2A with a tail clicky.

Sorry, totally f*cked up there :person_facepalming:
