Imalent DX80 32000 lumen monster

There is nothing in the sheet of paper you get with it about any of this.
The display is now as leroycp described.

What a surprise, the supplied charger just quit after the first hour.

I am continuing with the Fujitsu…………………

With so many failed charger mentioned here, why are you still surprised?

Because I’m special, and it could never happen to me…………… :innocent:

I cut the cord of the original charger that blew and used it to check the current draw while charging.
1.91A.
That means the supplied charger is too weak.
I would think at a 4A charger is needed. The Fujitsu laptop charger I’m using now is rated at 4.22A.

I will let Banggood or Imalent know about the charger, but I don’t expect a replacement. That’s why I went ahead and cut the cord.
I know I can get all the laptop power supplies I want in the recycle bin.

Does this adapter compatible with DX80?

Okay, so now we know what it does when the charger is plugged in with no batteries, or no battery contact.

It seems that it can not be disassembled. The initial 5 minutes of charging was slightly warmer.I do not feel the need for cooling.
But although this is already broken

The second one arrived today, but it has been broken since the beginning :rage:

At 19V, please select this type of plug.

As for the charging indicator,I think that it is OK.It reminds me the Sony SBH50 Bluetooth which I have, which when in charging condition has a indicator with the same movements. It shows the current situation and the maximum where it will go, when the charging is finished.
Edit.
As for the light,my jaws are still open.WOW.

Why? You had the light in your mouth for some quick close-up work? :stuck_out_tongue:

Congratulations on winning the IMALENT lottery. I am losing twice
In the story of gearbest I heard before, IMALENT seems not to be very cooperative with sellers.
I am relieved in this case like a problem only with the AC adapter. (The dchomak video was horror  )

There was a reply of DX80 from BG.
They asked if the problem is only with the AC adapter or whether the AC adapter has failed due to a problem with the main unit. I think that the matter of my9221 has also heard the same thing.

1. Does the mode button on the unit function?
2. Can you charge with another AC adapter?

As just confirmed on the taschenlampen forum, the dx80 was measured at over 31,000 lumens and 5000k temperature. Not surprised. It was a beast when it tested it before mine blew up. Fix the electronics problem, Improve the switch and include high quality charger and this flashlight would be perfect. Waiting to hear back on my warranty replacement.

Link please

Too bad no throw candela number yet.

I would say anything over 100kcd will be a bonus. If the x45vn at 25000 lumens is 150kcd, I guess the dx80 should get very close to that at 30k+ lumens because I don’t think the throw ratio to lumens between the X45 and dx80 is very different, with the x45 out throwing about 30% at same brightness at a guess.

All this talk about Throw, Lumens, Candela, etc. :stuck_out_tongue:
To me the only spec worth are darn is how long it takes to start a fire :smiling_imp:

^ The two blue leds are darn sexy. :sunglasses:

That makes for one big, expensive lighter.
Unfortunately, it might start a fire without the paper. :open_mouth:
