I received the M2R from Olight for the review.
The M2R is Olight new tactical 18650 flashlight. It features an XHP35 HD Emitter, 2 electronic switches and an integrated rechargeable capability of the 18650 cell. The M2R comes with a non proprietary 18650 3500mAh cell.

The only part that can be taken apart is the tailcap. It has trapezioidal and thick threads.

The electronic switch at tailcap is where the standard Olight magnetic cable connects to. The tailcap switch is wide, easy to operate and gives a good feedback. It has a dual stage electronic switch in it.

The battery tube has an inner second tube that brings the signal of both poles for both switches. It can’t be removed.

Both tested with the provided Olight 3500mAh battery (not 3600mah as stated in the plots).

My thoughts
The light is well made and finished.
I like the quick access to the lowest, last used and max mode. I like that he quick access to the strobe can be removed, according to the user needs.
I like the idea of being able to finally recharge ANY 18650 cell in the M2R.
I like that, for being a tactical light, the M2R still has several well spaced modes.

The only flaw I found is that if you have turned on the light with the side switch, it is possible to switch to turbo only in momentary on mode. I mean, if you have your M2R on at moonlight-low-med-high1 or high2 mode, and then you press the back switch, it will change accordingly to turbo mode, but even if you fully depress the tailcap switch, the turbo stays on only on momentary mode, and, as you release it, the light actually turns off. Instead of turning off, I believe the M2R should return to the last previous mode.
I’d like the two way clip a bit more stiff.
