[Finished] 5. Batch "TA" Bistro HD OTSM/Narsil drivers, 15-47.5mm size fit H03, MF01, MT03, Q8 1S or 2S, Clicky or E-switch

Lexel, on the 2S boards for the L6, are you still using the 4700k resistor for the switch light?

4.7K ?

I use 20K

20K~30K are fine?

Yeah, I use 15k to 30k.

I was just gonna suggest Lexel increase the resistor value for these 30mm 2S L6 drivers since everyone usually uses 2 leds.

I had another question. Is this accurate?

Could you sacrifice temp protection in order to get LVP and the indicator function?

temp does not need a pin, the other 2 does

The 4.7k is the minimum resistor, other values are possible, of course rewire the switch board for diodes in series increases the efficiency

Temp doesn’t need a pin? Is that only in NarsilM?

I remember on the older Narsil that I had to choose between temp or lvp.
I chose lvp and no temp. I’m a little confused about this.

The Convoy L6 switch LEDs are parallel. It would be a major undertaking (cutting traces and adding wires) to make it series.

This was the choose between v1.2 and 1.3, 1.3 does not support LVP in 2S, but got a lot of functions like temp sensor readout and use

Just a heads up, Lexel. It looks like the 2nd generation of Astrolux MF01 have a new wiring pattern on the mcpcb (along with a new driver design). We will have to see if the TA driver can be compatible with it.

you would have to modify the MCPCB

Narsil can be set up for modes with different mode groups
21mm fits my H03

OK today 200 AMCs got delivered, so we can start to build drivers

6S LEDs? and holds 4 batteries? Not without ledboard modifications. Not a chance.

hello, am i able to order a 30mm driver for an Convoy L6?

I got 30mm for L6 in stock

just I need the settings you prefer and I can flash and test it the same day

hmmm mybe im in a lil over my head. i know i would like the bistro ui but alot of the other info in the first post im struggling to understand.

I would like to get max power out of my L6, any suggestions?

Nasil firmware have the ramping brightness which is better than bistro UI.

A FET driver will get max power (10A). Unprotected high drain batteries will get more power (12-13A). A 70.2 swap will get even more power (17-18A). You can get up to 8,500 to 9,000 lumen.

I’d suggest NarsilM firmware as it’s really nice.

See here.

ok, sounds like Narsil is the go. is there anything else i need to consider?

Not really. Let Lexel do all the default stuff.

You can choose what the driver does when it first gets power from the rear switch. There are 4 options. Nothing (fine if you have a lighted side switch), 2 faint blinks (good choice, the Q8 has this), moon (seems odd), or turbo (I have this on my L6 and it gets annoying after a while, still it’s good for blinking SOS or something).

Is there a working bistro UI that has been released for e-switch? I'm running it now(unreleased) and I love it. It's not as smooth, but I always can change it and know which way it's going to go and how much current it's using.

Anyway, you guys are discussing NarsilM vs bistro "ui" as if there is a choice, and I think until I release this in the next couple of days there's not, and nobody other than myself has even tried it on an e-switch, unless I'm missing something.
