Elfeland Store in AliExpress - Closed?

While we are discussing defunct stores on AE:

Remember the flashlight deals we had with stainless steel lights from DITO? 100% ss lights for 1-2 bucks on 11/11? -> that AE store is also gone! So are the amazing DITO flashlights.

Very sad. I was looking forward to new 11/11 flashlight deals soon.

I wonder whether this has anything to do with the tax authority crack-downs on Asian sellers avoiding local VAT on large platforms like eBay, Amazon, AE,…

Oddly enough… Astrolux stuff is here with astrolux scrubbed off.

Yup, on that and on this store as well!
Funny thing is, I found those when searching for the lighted tailcap (that I want for a mod). On that same night, the Elfeland products were no longer available…
Those stores have Astrolux, BLF and Convoy stuff (some of which I was going to buy on Elfeland…) but I ain’t sure if the quality will be the same… Guess I’ll have to try that!!

Hum…Idk about that! I guess some stores close for some time and the re-open, some with the same name, some with other names. Maybe that as to do with the issues you’ve mentioned, or with stocks, or even with their calendar (holidays, and national vacancies).
Some are even temporary stores, for what it seems. I have “followed” some, and after a while they were gone…

It may be closed, or might be just temporarily inaccessible for maintenance, I’ve seen this happen in other stores and they’ve since come back

Okay, the whole store is gone…
I noticed some wish list items were unavailable recently.

Interesting. I placed an order 9/27 for 11different items from Elfeland. About a week ago I checked the status on the shipment. The order page show 4 tracking numbers. Three of them showed delivery had already been made, but the deliveries were to different States across the USA. I asked Elfeland about it and they said the post office had mix up the numbers. The went on to say my order was shipped in 3 separate packages and gave me 2 tracking numbers that are not trackable and 1 that is. Since then I have received 3 separate packages, but each only contained one item each. The tracking numbers on those packages don't match the provided numbers. I still have 8 items outstanding. Gonna give some time before opening a dispute.

Wasn't Elfeland also selling Q8's? Has anyone received those yet?

I hope you’re right and that they get back meanwhile  At least to buy some specific products :money_mouth_face:

For what I’ve seen through my experience with AE stores (not Elfeland itself), some packages are only tracked while in the sellers’ country, while others may change the package number when being delivered to other carriers. Maybe this was not the case of yours, however!
I hope you can get the remaining orders you’ve made.
About the Q8, I saw them there for about 48€ (I guess remember exactly), didn’t bought it but was “astonished” with the low price at that time.

This situation leaves me a kind of off-topic question: if a person needs to open a dispute with this or other store that has “disappeared”, and if there is no answer from them, will AE services step in to solve the disputes? I’m kind of intrigued now…

I filed a dispute against this store a few weeks ago. My order was for some very cheap belt holsters ($3) and some flashlights ($50). They gave me two tracking numbers - one for the $3 merchandise that was delivered to me, and one for the flashlights. The tracking number for the flashlights showed they were shipped to the San Francisco bay area (about 400 miles from me) then that they were undeliverable. When I questioned Elfeland about the bad tracking number, they gave me a new tracking number that showed the order was shipped the day after I questioned the fake tracking number. I filed a dispute as it was over 30 days from when I ordered. I eventually got the flashlights after filing the dispute, but they don’t look like first quality lights. If this is a banggood outlet, it’s for their “second”, lower quality products.

I wasn’t impressed with the AE dispute process - they basically sat on my dispute about the fake tracking number and didn’t do anything. As I eventually received the flashlights I was made whole, but I won’t order from Elfeland again.

Hum…not so good impressions from your experiences :zipper_mouth_face:
Some lights from the store really are “cheappo” looking, but others seemed to be good, like the Q8 and other known brands.
Did you bought any components, like drivers or the lighted tail switches? Any input on those?

Also, thanks for the info on the dispute process! :+1:

Olight Also Disappeared from Aliexpress This was their Bookmark in my Browser https://olight.aliexpress.com/store/2950139 , now it shows a blanks Screen

I think Elefland will be back, alot of sellers Remove Their Products when They Don’t have time to process orders.

Hmm maybe Elfeland was a sort of fake shop with Items copied from BG?

Hum, could it be? They sold the BLF Q8, what led me to think they would be a BG store on AE…
I don’t know the distribution of the Q8, but I thought it was only sold at BG, so my thoughts started from there. And from the fact they sold BLF specials too.

All I bought were the holsters and some complete Thorfire lights. No components. After seeing this thread I logged in to AE and found that I can’t leave feedback for my purchase from the Elfeland Store, and that tracking on my original package is still saying

“2017-09-05 22:40 Delivery status not updated, The package is delayed and will not be delivered by the expected delivery date.”

I did get the replacement package they sent after I questioned the fake tracking number and filed a dispute. Those flashlights were tested to make sure they work when I got them, but I haven’t used any of them.

I’m wondering if they were an outlet that sold counterfeit or “second” quality goods without notifying the buyer?

P S - This was the first dispute I’ve ever filed anywhere, and found it interesting that they “officially” responded to the dispute by saying that the goods had been shipped so they wouldn’t refund my money, but sent me a message outside the dispute that they would refund my money in full if I closed the AE dispute.

It’s amazing how many suppliers try that one on.

Good that you didn’t fall for it :+1:

Not close a dispute, and just read what the time limits are, AliExpress will act according so do not expect action in one day if they say the vendor has 10 to respond

When Simon did work on his store there were no products for a while and then they came back.

I was under the impression Elfeland was Banggood.
The things I got there were good (among it a S70s) but it took really long to get here.

Wow, that dispute process was not a nice move :expressionless:
Well, I thought that due to the amount and kind of products they had (including some of BLF editions) they might be good, but I now perceive they may not be that good.
I wanted to order some things from there, but I guess I’ll shift my focus to BG or other stores that may have it!

Still, I guess it’s good to share these experiences about shopping experiences on stores that, being good or not so good or bad, can be useful for other members.
I normally don’t mind risking when buying from these stores, specially if the amount of money is not that big. But I’ll definitely pay more attention about the feedback costumers give

Thanks :+1:

Yeah, I’ve fallen for the seller asking to close a dispute and got no product and no refund, after that I barely pay attention to que seller’s response to disputes as they are almost always denying a refund. Just reject and wait for AE to step in, doing that I never had any trouble with refunds (except waiting 60 days in case I really wanted the product and repurchased with the refund money)

The rest of my order mentioned above arrived yesterday. So no problems here as far as this vendor fulfilling my orders.

The store is back again!! :money_mouth_face:
