Astrolux unfortunately just doesn’t seem to “get” UI design. This isn’t the first time an otherwise attractive light has been marred by poor mode spacing, weird mode selection, etc.

It’s a shame, because other than this recurring problem, their hardware is some of the best value on the market.

True. I’m afraid it’s the sign of the times… Form over function. It seems companies these days are able to pay premium for overblown marketing and flashy designs and at the same time skimp for usability and engineering. It’s apparently exactly what people want - otherwise companies investing the other way round would gain competitive edge.
