MTN Electronics: LEDs - Batteries - Lights - Chargers - Hosts - Drivers - Components - 1-Stop-US Source

Oh, it’s been a while Jason… I bought a dedicated hot air machine from Circuit Specialists.

Running 18350 cells?

Yeah, I did that but didn’t like the beam profile so I dug out a light orange peel C8 reflector and liked it better but then there was a dark core so I worked on raising the reflector and got a tighter whiter hot spot but then I didn’t like the overal output so I put an XP-L W2 2B in it with the light orange peel reflector and used the original 105C style driver with Biscotti but added two more chips for a total of 16.

I know, I work myself into the corner sometimes. lol

0.01A for 0.3795 lumens
0.06A for 22.84
0.50A for 166.64
1.93A for 607.55
4.93A for 1431.75

Hot spot is clear with soft edges, aura is nice, spill is good. I’ll just take it (for now)

So…

You’re back to needing something to use the 50.2’s in? :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, there’s kindof a plan for one that a fellow member suggested, just don’t have the light yet. So still two unless I decide to build a triple 50.2 X6 or something.

Edit: (by the way, I’ve already done that before on the SS/Cu X6, output was ridiculous and heat was at danger levels in 15 to 20 seconds if an extension tube were used for 2 18650’s, output was lower as was heat with 2 18350’s. )

Edit II: Also forgot, that early attempt was with XHP-50’s, I didn’t remember that my Ti X6 from Rey has 3 XHP-50.2’s in it and makes ~10,000 lumens if 2 18650’s are used. Schoolgirl giggles light, this one is!

WHAT!? Seriously!? :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

Well since this thread got completely derailed, RMM probably won’t see my original question, so I’ll post it again:
.
Hey, I just noticed you’re now selling batteries on the international version of your site.

It says that the buyer assumes responsibility for confiscated packages with more than 4 batteries, does that mean that if the order has 4 batteries or less, MTN electronics will refund it if it gets confiscated?
Or is there no problem with <=4 batteries? (I’m in canada btw)

Also, when you ship the batteries, I assume that you are forced to use ground shipping, correct?

Well, ok, that look comes first and THEN the schoolgirl giggles.

<—— this light, in my avatar.

Hey , First the service provided was great and the batteries well packed and as described.

This however is a warning to any Canadian’s going over $20 is at your own peril :person_facepalming:

I thought I could sneak 4 batteries in by keeping it close to $20 but the taxman was unimpressed. The actual takes was only $3 but the $10 handling fee was the killer! Again no issues with the vendor and the batteries arrived well packaged and in a timely manner! I just regret not buying an extra 18650 3500 Protected Cell if I knew I was going to get dinged the $10 handling fee anyways :stuck_out_tongue: So remember kids keep it clearly under $20 or accept the fact Canada Post is going to get their beak wet!

Thanks again for the batteries though!

Hey Enderman , I live in Vancouver and placed an order recently for 4 batteries so I can share my experiences.

It was ground shipping and the package was clearly labeled as Lion batteries. In total it took 9 days to get here with 3 of those days being spent at Customs. Customs held it up but did not open the package. They did however tax me and charge me a handling fee so keep that in mind that if you cross $20 CAD in Value you will probably get taxed plus $10 handling fee. Other than customs the whole experience was good and recommendable! The free cases are also sturdier than I expected!

Thanks  Paying additional tax or duties is not an issue for me.

I just didn’t want the package to be confiscated if it contains more than 4 batteries.
I need 6 batteries total.

Any pictures of the new mtn triple mcpcb?

I don’t see the Aspire 18350 cells on the website anymore? No button to press to be contacted when more arrive. Hmmm.

Hmm, I’m not seeing the Aspire cells either. Richard, are they sold out? Expecting more anytime soon?

Perhaps related to this? (read from this post down)

Thanks djozz :frowning:

Well I’m glad I picked some up from you djozz while they lasted. Hopefully someone else picks up the high capacity 18350 game, and everything but 18650 for that matter.

When might u get more black convoy c8 host in stock ?

Hi, Richard! My friend wants a black Emisar D4, probably a 219C.

He doesn’t like the new ‘rough’ Emisar anodizing on my D1S.

Do your black D4 models have the original ‘smooth’ ano?

Hey Richard! I wanted to put in a request that you carry the Astrolux MF-01 in 219c and XP-G3 flavors as part of your stock when it becomes available! I think it would be a good replacement for the M43 if it’s no longer available.
