Cheap UV light for curing Loca?

I’ve been away awhile, so hello.

I have need to cure some Loca 2500 in a fairly quick manner, though it is a temporary need so I don’t want to invest a bunch of money.

What’s my best option right now?

Most places rate UV lights by wattage, but I have a feeling it’s not a direct comparison with LED.

According to this you need a UV led with 350 to 380nm wavelenght.

Maybe this, it has 365nm

Here are some old links, I picked from another thread

for 1-2 minute runtime the Convoy S2+ Nichia 276A is good

its usually with coupon for 20$

I hoping for around or under $10. It doesn’t have to be anywhere close to as nice as the Convoy. Frankly doesn’t even have to be LED.

I’m using it to afix a phone screen protector. These curved displays make things difficult.

Uhh, sunlight?

It’s free.

So sorry to hear that you have uncured Loca.

Hi pd, I read that Loca 2500 can be cured up to 400nm, so the cheap Uniquefire 602C UV that after years is still available on Fasttech should do the job (and is a nice little uv-light with good output).

https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10004661/1358900-uniquefire-602c-uv-3w-395-410nm-ultraviolet-uv

I got a Nichia 276A 365nm which lost about 30% brightness witch driver
4$ wirh shipping ok?

I see people saying you need “at least 9w” or “at least 30w” for best curing, but they are always talking about florescents.

Any idea how this applies to LED UV lights?

Sorry not sure what you’re saying lexel

The driver and UV LED that is build in a Convoy S2+ UV Nichia 365nm
replaced it with a more powerful one after this got loss of luminance

I’d prefer to just buy a pre-built one.

Djozz that one you linked would probably be fine, except I no longer have an 16340 or even 18350 cells.

If you have any P60 hosts laying around, you could try picking up a cheap 365nm - 395nm UV P60 drop-in from eBay.
I went that route a while back for scorpion hunting here in AZ and it’s still going strong after several years. Cost me around $6 shipped IIRC.

I remember reading something a while back that the cheap 30-50 led uv flashlights on eBay work very well for curing things. Lots of output with even spread even when shining close range. 2cm or so. I’ll try to find a link in a bit

Edit: something like this:

Edit again,

OxyLED UV Ultra Violet flashlight & 51LED Blacklight Flashlight - Spot Scorpions https://www.ebay.com/i/231595904428

395nm Lights wont cure a lot of glues, at least not in acceptable time

I make that offer again a real Nichia 365nm Diode with driver and 16mm star for 4$ shipped worldwide from Germany

Driver is with a bleeder resistor which makes the LED run at 500mA
