Finally got it!
Getting more āmessed upā in my opinion/personal experience with Postnord lately here in Sweden for the final delivery on gods from China.
Anyhow,
Very high finish, extremely happy with functionality and super a value for my money so just very pleased with it.
I would have ordered another right now, but currently out of stock but thanks Tom E for the heads up.
And once again,
BIG Kudoz to all involved with the project, and glad to read there where a few bucks over to some of you.
V1.1 had some life to it, can't recall details, but think it was a temporary release for the GT buck driver. So to avoid any confusion I bumped the rev number.
It's been common practice for me that if a release "leaves the building", then if in doubt, bump it out (up??). Out rhymes though
Looking to follow up on the status of my order. It has tracking from last month for the 22nd through 25th, and then nothing since then. The āexpectedā delivery date was over a week ago, according to their own site. Not sure what all information I need to provide to TM.
Found another use for the Q8: recharging solar Casio G-Shocks and Citizen Eco-Drive watches ridiculously fast! My solar Eco-Drive went from dead as a doornail to ticking normally in just a few seconds.
I had a bad one (flickered, then out, etc.) in here form a BLFer, and reflowed the parts, problems went away, but came back like weeks later - go figure. The smart guys (DEL, etc.) thought the thru holes were suspect, so they probably are. Seems to be the PCB board itself.
Now I'm using the 2X and 4X OSHPark boards as replacements. Also bought the qty 50 of the buttons from Banggood - seem to work well.
Iāve been gone awhile and Iāve got a lot of catching up to do, but my Q8 arrived and is working most wonderfully. Itās become my go-to work light so it wont be pristine much longer. A couple people whoāve seen it are going to get their own now :sunglasses:
It sits in a cardboard box next to the driverās seat, the box is something of a catch-all for paperwork and things I need to keep handy. On the way to a friendās house I was stopped at a red light and noticed what I thought was someone burning brush or leaves. When I still smelled it at the next red light I took a look around and saw my box smoldering. Somehow the switch got bumped to āonā, it was in turbo mode, and from ~20cm away the beam was hot enough to char the cardboard :zipper_mouth_face: Donāt know how long it had been on but the body wasnāt very warm so maybe a few minutes. This weekendās projects include a dedicated Q8 holder of some sort to ensure I donāt toast another vehicle
My last one left China 23 October headed for Kennedy in NY. There was no Tracking update at all till 9 November when it was handed over to the USPS.
So it just sat somewhere in NYC for over 2 weeks. :person_facepalming:
Hopefully yours will show some movement alsoā¦ā¦
