Flashlight you didn't buy (and later found it was a wrong decision)

Not me, but I can imagine people regretting not having bought the Zebralight S6330. Luckily I have a lot of experience with lights I bought, and later realised it was an awesome move.

I’ve always wanted a TK45.
Still can be found in some places, but I would just keep it as a collectors item and I don’t really have money for extra stuff like that.

This flashlight immediately came to mind when I read this post. It was no longer available when I became a flashlight-aholic, but I probably wouldn’t have spent the money at the time for it anyways. But it’s one I’ve always wanted despite it’s cool white tint.

I didn’t initially go with Imalent which was a mistake. I have personally matched it up against modded 2,000 dollar modded lights and the Imalent DX80 is every bit as bright. 3,000 dollar mistake not going with Imalent DX80 and opting for modded torches. Not anymore. My five Imalent DX80 is a fraction what I spent on modded torches. Imalent DX80 is the best value and a true BLF Monster power flooder.

a bit off topic, but regret not buying many Victorinox saks that were far cheaper 5-7 years ago then they are today

I always think will those buying expensive custom modded light regret later, those modded lights are insanely expensive but i doubt their reliabilities.

Wish I’d ordered more of the DITO stainless steel lights last year during their 11/11 promo. 1-2 bucks for excellent SS lights including a ton of extras like ss rings and stuff. I bought just 1. tracked and insured shipping included.
Looking at Aliexpress on 11/11 today, there are no Dito lights to be found. They disappeared.

Funny, I was JUST in Ali looking for them. Dito is Gone.

I’ve bought some that I shouldn’t have!! Does that count?

Nope. This happened to everyone here.

Well that makes me feel a bit better…

BLF Giga thrower

Just thought of one: the Defiant Super Thrower that Home Depot sold a few years ago! I actually did buy one but I had offered it as the prize for my 1k post giveaway. Then Home Depot stopped selling them before I could get one for myself.

Lumintop SD10.
Runs on anything from 32650s to AAs, and gives very useable light for a very long time. I bought one, and wish I’d have bought a lot more.

Uniquefire 2100, Ultrafire WF-504B and Roche F12  , but it was some years ago and I was afraid of li-ion. So I bought 3xAAA flashlights like Ultrafire SK96 instead :person_facepalming: . Now Roche F12 is gone forever  . It would compete with my Convoy S3 as my edc.
Do you think I like small flashlights with a shiny bezel too much ?

black shadow terminator

This was also a bit in the back of my mind as well. One of the few soda can lights that throws fairly well. Nice looks and finish. The most notorious competitor with comparable beam profile was the Nitecore TM26 costing a whopping $400. The Terminator was something like $140? So much more affordable but still not cheap though. Nice how prices of really good quality lights have dropped significantly.

I wish I have bought a fenix tk20 ten years ago.

I will not buy a MF01 because it is quite some money to spend, it has a meager UI and there is some incidence of faulty lights, and in performance it is too close to a well-modded Q8, with the Q8 being cheaper, smaller and having better throw.

But it still is one of those lights that if Astrolux had done a bit more thorough job on it (and had used a nice TK firmware), the form factor, led+optics lay-out and use of high CRI Nichia’s had made it a must-have for a good price. I’m still tempted and may once regret not having bought one.
