ALL THINGS BUDGET KNIVES

Anybody knife if this type of knife lock is legal in the UK, A pin on the tongue drops into a hole on the blade pivot when it is fully closed and full open, But only requires a little pressure to disengage the lock.

John.

But only for the newest versions which are massive resource hogs.

Better?

Perfect balance.

Just ordered the Sanrenmu 7056. Looks to be nice. Does anybody already got this one?

I have the 7056LUI-GHV-T4 variant, same overall shape but different handle material (and with secondary tools).

Not my favourite SRM but nothing wrong with it, you should not be disappointed.

It’s a good knife, one of the most popular from Sanrenmu, very similar to the Kershaw Cryo.

Regards!.

It’s a nice small folder but mine can’t be flipped open without a wirst flick.

Thanks guys. Let’s see if it can take the place as edc of my ganzo F753M-CF

Me too. Must be because the knife is too small.

Completely legal mate

I need recommendations for a gentleman’s folder, something like the CR Mnandi (links to good clones that take paypal?) or similar, thanks!

That knife was designed as an assisted opener, they don’t have to be good flippers by design, just like the Leek.

A good manual flipper is the Kershaw Chill but it seems esp. US folks love A/O so they don’t invest in good manual flippers anymore.

Only have 1 Ganzo/Firebird so far, F7413a, its lightning quick to open with a tiny wrist and/or thumb flick. its a little big for edc but I really like the action, and the one handed closing with the axis lock is a lot of fun. Have a bunch of Kershaws with AO, but you dont really need or miss it with this model. the edge grind is not even on both sides and the centering is a hair off, but its not too bad:

This one looks good (no blue thumbs) :+1:

I have the 742 which is the frame-lock variant (so this 7413x one must be a tad lighter)

Only axis-lock on newer (non auto) Ganzo’s now? I tend to prefer a good old liner or frame lock.

not sure, but this locks up very solidly with a very tiny bit of blade play, also came with a pouch and whistle, very sharp as well. have a ontario rat clone on order also has axis lock.

I finished my review about the Tonife HKT3103 bird and trout knife:

Hello Isti! Thanx for the reviews :+1:
May can I ask you how is the Fallkniven F1 copy ? I have always thinked to buy one…
It’s a real full tang ?

Hi Manx,
The F1 copy is a decent knife for the money. It’s a robust full tang construction and it comes with a good quality sheath. I found the factory edge too obtuse for my taste so I resharpened it to ~40 degrees. That’s the only con I can mention.

I picked up this Ganzo G749. They seem hard to find at a decent price. Fasttech only had the black. Dhgate has all the colors, but they are over priced. I have to say, not only is this very smooth opening and sharp, it’s the most comfortable large folder to clip into my pocket I’ve ever owned. Don’t even know it’s there, and virtually invisible. Awesome knife.

edit… just as I say “fasttech only has the black”, they now have all the colors. I wanted to order the green, but it said discontinued. In stock now

Mine (same version) came from Gearbest. It’s an excellent flipper so I’m also planning to grab the stone washed version when it’s on sale.
