11.11 What did you Score? Flashlights or other Stuff you Don't Need.

Your link goes to the wrong product, but I’m guessing you were referring to this one?
https://www.gearbest.com/multimeters-fitting/pp_399825.html

Do you own any others that are same/similar? I’m wondering about it’s accuracy. Obviously, at this price I’m not expecting miracles, but just hoping it’s good enough…

I am so glad that 11.11 is over - I can’t stand those “massive” discounts on AE…
0.06$ off the old price on a 30$ product - wow, what a deal…

If you know the normal prices of products, you will see that 90% of those “discounts” aren’t really good offers - many sellers put 1-2$ shipping on products, so in the end, you have the same price as before.

BG ang GB give us GLF Users enough discounts, we have 11.11 all year long

Thanks Pete, fixed the link.
Between home and my shop I must have 7 various calipers. Digital, Dial and the basic $3 Vernier slide.
I have a good older digital Starrett with 0.0005”/0.01mm accuracy here I will compare it to when the CF one arrives.
I have some relatively cheap ones sub $30 that have been great. Even an old plastic General tool dial (my first).
One cheaper stainless steel caliper I have is in decimal inch and mm but also displays 1/128 fractions. That one is neat, no brain work converting. Nice for sorting drill bits or measuring pipe or bolts.
Don’t have a non-metallic one at home so thought it would be nice for the price. Displays only 0.1mm / 0.01 inch so I wouldn’t call it accurate. But for what I need, if it works it’s good.
Will let you know.

i buy a camping hat and emergency radio

100B and endoscope from GB, also a 4pak of VTC6es for 20bux, dunno if that’s a good deal or not.

Went kinda ape5#!+ on AX, got some relays I needed, some 1800K LED goodies for scrounging the chips, some interesting drivers, and a trio of SP10Bs.

well, the resolution may be low, but it could still be accurate.

Thanks. By the time you get it, the sale will be over. I went ahead and ordered it. I don’t own any calipers, analog or digital, so I just wanted to try something.

I’ve had an iGaging Absolute Origin 8” one sitting on my Amazon shopping list for a while now, but at $50+, I never pulled the trigger.

That iGaging Absolute Origin 8” seems pretty nice for the price. Think my old Starrett with same accuracy rating was almost $300 new. I got it used for free.
It may be overkill for a caliper because any machinist would use micrometers for accuracy, not a caliper. Calipers are a flawed design for accuracy.
So, I hear that the $10-15 HFT are fine for general measuring. Just make sure its the +–0.001 not 0.01. Most are very similar in looks and layout. Prolly all made by the same place different branding. Just like the display on the $6 CF model. So the $30 one may be exactly the same as HFT one on sale for $10. If you have a local store you can always take it back.

Yeah I was thinking that when I said I’ll let yo know. But for $6 it’s worth a shot. 350+ reviews and still holding a 4.88 out of 5.00 rating.
I am sure it sill suit the general needs of most.

Eight button-top 30Qs and two Nitecore NBM40s to add to my earthquake preps.

I’ve bought a BLF A6 (3d), a Nitecore D4 charger and 4 Samsung 30Q button-top batteries for my BLF Q8.
It was a very BLF 11/11 day

Spent about $600 worth of products. Now have to earn them back before next round of sale in a week time!

Most of the deals were crap. Got an $11.00 heart monitor blood pressure watch for my mom. It was marked down from $63.00 but that’s prolly a fake price to make it seem like a good deal.

I’ve had quite a lot of stuff on my AE wishlist waiting for these deals, but most of them where already discounted before, they just dropped the regular discount and put up a slightly higher discount, so it’s good, but not amazing. Many items where not even discounted. Anyway, got a TIP CRI from GB after swearing not to buy anything from them before, but I’ve been softened because of a deal on the utorch ut01 which seems unavailable on the other 2 of the big 3 (BG, GB and AE). Also a lot of accessories and trinkets from AE, and the Lumintop Tool AA and HL from BG. I think I’m done for the year, maybe the Nitecore TINI for christmas

very underwhelmed, personally.
I see news reports of fantastic sales numbers for the day. Can’t prove it here.

I got a Wiha screwdriver set for $18.99 on 11/10 which after the sale they reduced to $17.99
and a GS320 Non-contact Digital IR Infrared Thermometer for $6.99 also on 11/10 which was a whopping $1.00 saving over the Flash Sale price of $7.99

I’m not inclined to spend any time on Black Friday on these sites.

i agree with chinooker. i stopped looking at GB’s “flash sale” items.

I ordered 25 more of these little volt meters. They come in 5 different colors and I ordered 5 more of each. Cost a little over a buck a piece at BG. I have been putting them in battery operated stuff to keep track of voltage. These bluetooth - mp3 players have Li-ion cells that suddenly cut off at around 3.2V. Nice to know when they should be recharged.

I managed to grab some of those Tip CRI, but that's all.Not impressed at all with this 11.11 thing...

2x TIP CRI, 2x Zanflare F1, 3x Liitokala Lii100, 4x LG HG2, Skilhunt H03, Eagle Eye X2R, 3x Convoy C8

Tip CRI for ~ $8 after points … I don’t have near enough willpower to say no to that :person_facepalming:

11.11 is a joke… we got some nicer discount on BG and GB all year long thanks to “user negociated deals”
