looking for dr jones (not a joke)

No time for love Dr. Jones! We need drivers!

ruh-roh raggy, his website seems to have stopped working…

If you wish to view this 1.5v project on the “other” site * shudder *, it is actually pretty cool. seems like the best of both worlds in terms of battery compatibility.

Gaaah!!!

I have some simodrv and mokkadrv drivers I haven’t used yet, but I didn’t copy the instructions explaining the UI. Oops!!!

Hopefully DrJones will get his website back up soon!

Actually I am sure with a schematic, Mattaus can whip out a 15mm and 17mm board toot sweet, maybe even mate it up to a ATtiny13 and give us ALOT more modes

Doesn’t look like there is alot involved actually

LTC3528

But there are other projects he is working on right now [he is a VEEEEERY busy guy]

They do sell AA only boost drivers at fasttech, both 13mm and 17mm

Sorry, I've been very busy lately, expecting our second child soon. Didn't even read the forum for some days.

The website has just moved to http://drjones.nerdcamp.net, because dyndns stopped their free service.

no way…daggumit…I really like the dyndns.org service…bleh

hehe…nerdcamp

All the best to the three of you for the up coming new arrival. We got spoilt by the first and turned into a train wreck from the second. The third made it all worth while.

I have #7 inbound….yeah…my wife wanted LOTS of kids

Now you know why I hang out on a “budget flashlight” forum

Because you spend a lot of time hiding in the garage with the lights off?

Hello!

I am searching for an E-Switch Software for a Nanjg 105C driver board.
One of the good solutions for me is the simodrv or the mobydrv/Q variant from DRJones.

Does anyone know how to contact DrJones or were to get the software?
Then I can flash the driver by myself…

Thanks
Chrisi

Did you try the link, provided in post #18?

Thank you,

But there is only the description from the SW.

Or is there also a download-linkt I cant see?

There’s dowload links on that site together with the descriptions.

Please tell me how to download the SW, I am too silly….
The only one I can find is nlite.hex

ai, by incidence the nlite firmware is what i checked, can’t see other hexfiles either. :person_facepalming:
Try a PM to DrJones ?

Necromancing thread!

Does anyone know if DrJones is still into the flashlights hobby and making drivers?
Not in BLF, as he has been out since +3 years, but outside here.

Seeing that MTN has been out-of-stock of some drivers with DrJones FW (guppy3drv is probably my favourite) and not knowing if or when they will be in stock again, I just wanted to check if anyone knows where to find DrJones or a place to buy drivers with his FW.

I wish an European store or driver maker had them :weary:

BTW, his page has been down for a while now: http://drjones.nerdcamp.net/ :zipper_mouth_face:

I know Matt at Adventure Sports Flashlights uses Dr Jones Guppy2drv on some of his custom lights, and also sells at least one driver with the same:

Last time I had contact with DrJones, indeed about three years ago, he had a busy job and young children. There may come a time that life starts becoming more relaxed and that he pops up again?

Cool. I’m very curious about other sources of good drivers with good firmware, especially in the US. Lexel is always an option internationally.

Thanks Terry! I would probably prefer other UIs than the Guppy2drv, although this seems to be a good one too (similar but with more UI options than Biscotti) specially being capable to be used with cells in parallel for 3V and 6V LED.
I’ll keep an eye on this!

Ahah, life happens, right? I salut you all folks that have family, work, other hobbies and still have time for this one.

I do hope he comes back here! EU-based “store” with his drivers/FW would be very handy! :innocent: Led4Power and Lexel are great, but I also like other stuff!

There’s another one (sold out): CWF Dragon driver – CWF Custom Flashlights
