Any pictures of the new mtn triple mcpcb?

I don’t see the Aspire 18350 cells on the website anymore? No button to press to be contacted when more arrive. Hmmm.

Hmm, I’m not seeing the Aspire cells either. Richard, are they sold out? Expecting more anytime soon?

Perhaps related to this? (read from this post down)

Thanks djozz :frowning:

Well I’m glad I picked some up from you djozz while they lasted. Hopefully someone else picks up the high capacity 18350 game, and everything but 18650 for that matter.

When might u get more black convoy c8 host in stock ?

Hi, Richard! My friend wants a black Emisar D4, probably a 219C.

He doesn’t like the new ‘rough’ Emisar anodizing on my D1S.

Do your black D4 models have the original ‘smooth’ ano?

Hey Richard! I wanted to put in a request that you carry the Astrolux MF-01 in 219c and XP-G3 flavors as part of your stock when it becomes available! I think it would be a good replacement for the M43 if it’s no longer available.

Was going to ask about a product here but I guess better to email MTN? Looks like the last post/reply from him here was back in September.

It doesn’t hurt to ask here as there are many folks very familiar with Richards products.

OK I also just emailed an inquiry…. If they will soon be stocking some XP-L2 5000K bare LED’s.

Okay, a question about his stock and reordering is something only he can answer. Lol. I thought you had a different type of question.

I don’t know if he’s even working this close to holidays.

Does anyone have information about how to activate moonlight mode for a 17mm FET driver (standard firmware)?
Specs say to solder pin #2 to ground. Is this referring to the pin on the fet or the microcontroller?
Also, will this affect the other modes?
What is the output for moonlight mode on a fet driver? I’m hoping to get my light down to < 1 lumen for reading in bed.

first post in over a month. Think of all the work Richard is able to get done without attending to this thread

Pin #2 on the attiny13a. There should be a little dot at pin 1.

Thanks for the info :+1:
Now I get to play the game called “Don’t bridge the pins”.

FET moon is … generally not very good. Usually bright and/or highly voltage-sensitive. The details depend on the exact hardware though, and which method is used to implement moon.

I think jt_bennett is referring to Richards 17mm FET driver.

Yep that’s the one. Tried the bridge (pin 2 to ground) and ended up with 1 mode (high). I must have bridged pins 3 and 4 via the trace. Cleaned up the solder so that pins 3 and 4 aren’t bridged and ended up with 1 mode again but this time it was low mode. I must done something to the microcontroller by running voltage with pins 3 and 4 bridged. Here’s a pic of how it ended up. Everything looks good except it only has low now.

Is there any hope of recovering this driver?

I’m thinking that a FET + 7135 may be the way to go if moonlight mode is wanted.

Update: I got it to work! —> I removed the copper wire and soldered the pin with a “2” next to it to ground. Moonlight mode is now activated. Moon mode with this driver is not super-low (like firefly) but provides enough usable light to comfortably read books, maps etc in the dark without compromising night vision.
