If you used unregistered shipping that can be a bummer, I am using it all the time but I am very lucky with NLpontra shipping and tracking actually works to the point it reach my country.
They are like Swiss clocks last 7 orders came in exactly 19 days
For cheap stuff, yeah. Kinda ridiculous to order something for a coupla bux and double the cost for registered shipping.
Odd how when I put one doodad into the cart and shipping came out to something like 2bux. Add another for two doodads, and shipping dropped to half, even though it’d be twice the shipping weight, no? And sometimes the shipping cost changes whether it’s a sale price or regular price. Same item in both cases. I don’t understand it at all.
So when I see an abnormally high shipping cost for something, and it has to be its own separate order (no combining of offers or anything), I’m pretty much forced to go for the cheapest shipping, else it’s just not worth it.
Honestly, though, with all the aggravation sometimes, flash sales and coupon codes that expire in minutes, seemingly random shipping costs, no combining of offers, etc., unless it’s something I’d really want, I’m just going to pass on them completely.
I feel compelled to correct some of the wrong pronunciations here. I can assure you Xiaomi is NOT meant to be pronounced as “Show me” or “Shiow me” or anything in such variances. The first time a colleague told me he bought a Xiaomi product, he said it in such a way that it sounded like “show me” or “shiow me”, and I was completely clueless to what he was on about. I had to laugh when it finally dawn on me that he meant Xiao Mi.
Xiaomi is literally two words in Chinese. Xiao-Mi (小米) meaning small rice.
The easiest way to show you the correct pronunciation is using Google Translate. I have typed the words in. If you click the link below, you can just click on the speaker icon/symbol, and you will hear the correct pronunciation.
A while back, there was a commercial for a Shen Yun dance-thingy (live performances, I imagine?), and the guy at the end pronounced it something like “shen yün”, with a weird pursed-lips “yuuuuen” at the end, sort of like the ‘ü’ in Müller.
Ha, found it… I think.
Eh, what can I say. I still wish French people a “joyooks noel”…
Lumintop Prince Brass Upd. Gold @$24.99 seems like a good offer, I bought it. Thanks. :+1:
Can you get a coupon for UT01 @ $9.99? (for GR of course)
I’ve got one since the days of Giorgos review, I’m very satisfied and I’d like to buy a couple more at that price.
I can speak Mandarin fluently, and I can tell you the Hugo guy in the video pronounced it wrong. Not knowing who this Hugo guy is, it seems he is the wrong guy to be providing expertise in this subject??
I find it ironic that he is right that it is important to get the tones right (this is right in nearly all languages??), then he goes to pronounce the two words wrong?
