GiveAway: Set of Eneloop batteries!!

thanks for GAW, need some AAA’s

on the rewrapped batteries page:

-But since FDK is owned by Fujitsu there are more and more batteries out there that have a “eneloop” inside of them.
replace letter a with the word an

In the next sentence replace follow with read, and maybe use one to one instead of one on one
-That being said, if you follow the following list carefully, you`ll see that they are not always one on one copies.

Updated the site with the new ideas, thanks all! Keep them coming. Or for people who can't find anything, please read rule 3B :)

4AA

thanks
thumbs up on facebook

I can always use more AAs.

Homepage:

  • I would replace “A list of characteristics on how to spot some counterfeits.” with simply “How to spot counterfeits.
  • I personally don’t like how the introductory paragraph reads. I would replace it with this: “Welcome to eneloop101.com aka Eneloop Encyclopedia aka Eneloop Wikipedia. We`ve got you covered with almost 20 pages of information dedicated to Eneloops!
  • Both, Sanyo and Panasonic made some interesting chargers.” Remove the comma.
  • The sad thing is that not all of their chargers are good”. Personal preference: I would change “The sad thing is that” to “Unfortunately”.
  • In 2009 limited they also produced a Tones edition and in 2010 their first Low capacity version”. Do not capitalize “Low”. Also change it to “low-capacity” (add hyphen).
  • For the complete line-up of all 21 special editions watch All limited edition Eneloop batteries”. I would change the word “watch” to “see”.
  • Watch all the Eneloop products (Eneloop Universe) ever produced”. Change to: “Click here to see all the products that Eneloop has ever produced (Eneloop Universe)” or more simply: “See all the products that Eneloop has ever produced (Eneloop Universe)
  • In the last paragraph, in one place you have Eneloop Universe surrounded by single quotes and later on with double quotes ’ vs “. Make them consistent. I would use double quotes ”
  • In 2009 Sanyo released their first limited edition eneloops, called Eneloop tones.” > “In 2009 Sanyo released their first limited edition Eneloops, called Eneloop Tones.
  • In 2010 Sanyo Eneloop celebrated their 5 year anniversary with a special edition Eneloop, called Eneloop Tones Glitter. Since then they regularly update their special edition line-up with many kinds of wrappers including Chocolate tones, Forest tones, with the latest addition being the Eneloop tones expedition.” > “In 2010 Sanyo Eneloop celebrated their 5 year anniversary with a special edition Eneloop, called Eneloop Tones Glitter. Since then they regularly update their special edition line-up with many kinds of wrappers including Chocolate Tones, Forest Tones, with the latest addition being the Eneloop Tones Expedition.

Good reference about comma usage that I happened to find:

DoubleA & SoCalTiger used to be my English teachers

whahaha.. Well, I`m definitely glad they help me out!!

Thanks Millerman and SocalTiger, I appreciate it! I will go and make these changes.

SocalTiger, that last link is like a few hours of study for me. Thanks for the help!

If you don’t find your eneloop question answered below, use the details on my Contact page (insert link) or Facebook (insert link) to ask me!

Fetch my contact details from my Contact page, or go to the eneloop101 facebook page.

Neither Sanyo nor Panasonic have ever made 9V eneloops.

And I agree that all the backticks throughout the text look strange and should be replaced with apostrophes.

4AA for me please

Safely warms your feet while your’e taking a nap or while you’re driving.

it’s You’re.

I would like 4AA.

> aka, Eneloop Wikipedia.

I suggest:
Eneloopedia

4xAA

Could be improved with, It was a dark and stormy night when Sanyo……………….

4AA

Actually, in this case, the literal reading of that sentence would be, “… 70% of it is full capacity…”, so no apostrophe at all would be appropriate. (“… 70% of its full capacity…”) <<<- oops, Pete7874 got that way before me. And I can’t make strikethrough work, so y’all will have to read it again.

But my actual contribution is from the limited editions page:
_Some people used to write something (like a letter or a number) on each battery to know what batteries belonged together.
Because it is not recommended to mix old with new batteries, because this can result in a damaged (reverse-charged) battery! With The limited edition you don`t have to do this anymore. Just put the same colors or designs together with a certain device! Especially Photographers have been happy with the ltd editions.
_

I’d write it as this:
Some people used to write something (like a letter or a number) on each battery to know what batteries belonged together.
This is done because it is not recommended to mix old with new batteries, because this can result in a damaged (reverse-charged) battery! With the limited edition, you don’t have to do this anymore. Just put the same colors or designs together with a certain device! Photographers in particular have been happy with the limited editions.

This is a great project you’ve put together. Double A batteries please, if I’m so lucky.

http://eneloop101.com/about-me/ edits in BOLD (AA for me please!)

So I wanted to build an "in-depth" website about eneloops for a long-long time, a place for sharing my knowledge and providing info about almost anything you can think of, about these fantastic batteries, including catalogs, images, test results, background info, know-hows, overviews, history, detailed information etc, for eneloop users and collectors.

This website should be a place to learn and get the right information, from the right source.

After moving back to the Netherlands -where I currently live- I decided to get this project going.

On first page you have: ‘the top in the NiMH battery industry till this day’. Not wrong, but the more usual expression is ‘to this day’.

On the same page ‘In 2009 limited they also produced a Tones edition’. Not even sure what you’re trying to say, but ‘limited’ is out of place, maybe ‘in 2009 they also produced a limited Tones edition’? I also see later on you use ‘tones’ in lowercase, it might be good to settle on one spelling.

Then ‘their first Low capacity version, (for low-drain devices)’. Comma should go after parentheses rather than before.

‘In the same year Sanyo officially became a Panasonic company’. Not wrong but just ‘the same year’ sounds better than ‘in the same year’. Besides, the previous sentence starts the same, so you could maybe say ‘also the same year’. The better tense is ‘has become’.

In fake eneloops: ‘Some are more obvious then others.’ Should be ‘than’, not ‘then’.

The picture in the Special edition batteries is much too small, and when you click it it doesn’t get any larger. What’s the point of clicking it if it shows the same thing?

‘many kinds of wrappers ’. You have extra   spaces around ‘wrappers’ and in other places, you probably should remove all of them. It also needs a comma after.

In chargers, ‘Both, Sanyo and Panasonic made some interesting chargers.’ No comma after ‘both’. Tense is also wrong, should rather be ‘are making’ or ‘have been making’.

‘not all of their chargers are good’. Missing period.

‘Some of them charge a pair of batteries for X amount of hours’ This is a continuation of the previous idea, should be the same paragraph.

‘Some products like the mobile boosters were improved and sold under the Panasonic brand.’ Tense is not great, should rather be ‘have been improved and sold’.

For special names sometimes you use bold, sometimes backquotes, sometimes double quotes, it would be good to have a more uniform styling.

Your links are sometimes bold sometimes not, I don’t see a rule.

AA please. Thanks.

I am not English speaker so my help in finding and correcting grammar and others would not be helpful.

I suggest to add more info/specs/datasheets and photos of the non-batteries eneloop products such as the eneloop kairo warmers… eneloop stick boosters… powerbanks… chargers… solar aa chargers and the many other eneloop branded products.

I really need 4xAA.

Thanks for the chance and good luck to all…

Please sir.

I just finished the latest changes in order of suggestions.

Thanks for all the help.

I know I should be more consistent. The bold links on the main page are especially for the most important links. The smaller , non-bold links are not for the main pages so to say.
Thanks for all the feedback. I will try and look for more product sheets, but that`s becoming harder and harder to find.

“You get to know everything about Eneloops”
I would change to Everything you want to know about Eneloop batteries

I would like 4AA batteries.

Oh and the fake eneloop is hilarious, i just have to repost it here for comedic value

Hehehe.

Thanks Bort.
