GB package said delivered but I cannot find it.

Hi guys,

How are you? This is the first time I use this forum. I hope everything is going well to you guys.

I have a question. So I recently ordered a phone from GB and that is my thanksgiving gift. It said delivered on 21th but I did not see it. The post office said delivered as well and they cannot do anything. What should I do? GB support center also did nothing but say basically “if it said delivered, we dont take responsible for that”. WTF. Please help if you have any idea. Thanks so much. BTW, I did not buy insurance and I dont think there was a way to choose to use signature request when I bought the item. Maybe I am wrong. Thanks.

Sad to hear that, I think your package got stolen or delivered to the wrong address, maybe talk to paypal and see if they can refund you for stolen goods (Doubt it) :frowning:

Normally the post office can say if its delivered to your neighbor.

Had it 2 times they did not leave a notice in my mail box and neighbors don’t bring it even after a week.

If the item shows delivered to you, you can claim a check time of delivery and the signature they have on their devices and who delivered it.
if this shows you have received the item personally with a fake signature then go to police station and file charge for a stolen Phone against that post employee.

Give the post office a copy of the police report and see if they can get the phone back or can get a refund for the phone.

Last month I ordered printer ink refills from a local supplier so it would be delivered within two days. Two days later USPS tracking said delivered / left at my front door. I’ve had a few times when the USPS tracking site said delivered but the carrier didn’t actually deliver until the next day, so I wasn’t too worried. Ended up the carrier misread the numbers in the address and had left it on the neighbor’s porch. They kept it for a couple of days then finally brought it over.

If the post office says they delivered the package to your address, I don’t see how the seller is responsible as long as they used a reliable shipping method. It was either delivered to the wrong address, left in an area you haven’t checked (I’ve had packages left behind a brick post about 10 feet from my door so they aren’t visible from the street), or stolen.

Definitely need to talk to your postal carrier person.
Only he/she knows where they delivered the package.

Also you could knock on every door nearby, I have certainly done this,
resulting in getting my misdelivered package back from the neighbor.

I have had packages delivered to the wrong door (when I lived in apartments)
many many times, often never getting them back.

Good luck.

Thanks for your reply. So I think for a expensive package, there should be a signature request, but there is not. GB should be responsible for this.

Thanks guys, I appreciate all your help. I will investigate it more. But I still think the seller should put a signature request on the package.

All tracked packages I have received from Gearbest were always signed for. Tried in 3 destination countries. Is there a tracked delivery method that does not require a signature?

Chargeback or paypal dispute.

You never received your package.

That’s between GB and the post office.

Thanks for your reply, so when you buy item from GB, does it ask about signature requirement? Or it directly has the requirement automatically?

Thanks for your reply, but I used credit card, how to do that? Thanks.

Contact GB again, ask them refund/replace or open claim with shipping company. I highly doubt they’ll do anything because they are all the way in china and don’t care.

If they don’t, call number on back of your credit card, explain the situation and ask to start a chargeback.

Thanks so much. I contacted GB for several time. I guess I can directly contact my credit card company. Thanks so much.

Your Credit card company will refund you if you did not receive it because it got stolen or delivered to the wrong address, no need to get black listed by GB, just call your CC company and explain what happened.

This too, I forgot to add that some CC companies have benefits/insurances for these kind of things with out having to charge back.

Good looking out Alex. :+1:

Awesome, I will contact CC company tomorrow. Hope it will not be too late. Thanks a lot!

Thanks a lot man!

95%+ most likely misdelivered. In otherwords, they dropped it off at a neighbors house or even possibly the same house number on a totally different street (has happened to me). You have up to 90 days to file a claim with your CC I believe.

Since the holiday shopping season is now underway, package thieves will be busier, as well. If you’re going to have more packages delivered, consider having them held at the post office, UPS/FedEx locations. Or delivered someplace else, such as a friend or family member who is at home during the day, or to your workplace (if allowed). If you live in an apartment complex, have your packages delivered to the management office. Also, check to see if they have your missing package. If you live in a large complex, GB may have addressed your package to the wrong apt#. It’s possible that whoever received it, dropped it off at the office.

Got it. Thanks a lot. I never thought this forum is so popular. You guys are awesome!
