GearBest Order Still Showing As Being "Packed"!?

I've ordered several times from GearBest, including one very recent order. All of the items ordered were in stock and were packed and shipped within one or two days from order.

However, one order placed on the February 9th for an in stock item showed as being "Packed" as of February 10th. This item continues to show as being Packed as of this writing despite me selecting the "Dispatch Faster" button within my orders list at GearBest yesterday (the 14th).

Why the delay in shipping the order?

Anyone else have similar delays in shipping "Packed" in stock items?

Getting a bit concerned at the delay in shipping my "Packed" order.

I’d send them a note. I’ve never had that happen.

I ordered a Nitecore TIP from Gearbest on Dec 19. It shipped on Dec 20. Still nothing. I filed a Paypal claim 8 days ago. Paypal gives them another 10 days. Ridiculous. Tracking showed the light arrived in the USA on Dec 29. Guess Gearbest will finally come to the conclusion that it is somehow lost. Me? Through with Gearbest.

But I know if they arrive my country it can get stuck in customs clearance for weeks

I hate ordering from Gearbest. I do it, but I hate it.

On many items they list the expected date of shipping....sometime it is a few days to a week in the future.

So far, I'm impressed with GB shipping. I ordered a USB powerbank from them 4 days before the Chinese holiday and STILL received the item within 12 days.

Just had another order arrive today....7 days !

You have to remember that all GearBest can do is get the order out. Once it leaves their hand's it's like you shipping an item to someone...you are at the mercy of the carrier.

Winter storms, tornadoes and other accidents can and do occur.

Also, as said by others, customs can snag ANY package at ANY time for ANY reason and they can hold it, open it, disassemble it, test it or do whatever they want.

I have received items that were inspected by customs and destroyed during disassembly inspection. It happens. There is nothing you can do except ask the shipper for assistance. It is not the shippers fault if customs destroys or holds your item, but most vendors try to help. I've had customs hold items for 3 weeks.

very positive post. How long would u recommend relaxing for? 2 months? 3 months? Then what? At some time are u due a refund? We pay. We don’t receive. We get a refund. Right?

Very easy to answer this one.....

Look at the listing for the date they expect to ship....then depending on the shipping method you selected, account for the business days from that shipping date.

If your item has not arrived within 7-10 days of the expected date, contact GB customer service.

If they confirm the order was shipped, your item is probably held up by customs. I believe there is a way to check but I don't have the link.

If held by customs, add 14 business days.

If your item has not arrived within 3 weeks after the expected date you should begin to pursue a refund.

Is that reasonable?

(Don't get me wrong....when an item I ordered is late it doesn't make me happy either)

Order and forget, just check in about 6 weeks after ordering to see how it goes.

I forgot to mention that when placing the order on the 9th of February, the dispatch date for the item was listed as 12 ~ 14th February. On the 10th of February when my order status was changed to "Packed", the dispatch date for the item was revised to 13 ~ 15th February.

But from 11th February on, including today, the dispatch date was again revised to either the day of ordering or shipping on the following day.

So, in theory, my order should have shipped by now as it has (supposedly) already been packed.

Since my previous orders have been shipped promptly (within or or two days from ordering), I am concerned that this particular order has not (apparently) been shipped when it should have been shipped by now.

I'll be sending GearBest an inquiry shortly regarding this order.

Order has finally been shipped via "Netherlands Post Surface Mail"!

I recently sent an inquiry regarding shipping delay to GearBest via their ticket system and was told the item was in stock. They also apologized for the delay, and to wait a few more days before shipping. That's fine, but they did not actually explain the reason for the shipping delay(?)

It is my understanding that delivery make take 25~50 business days (!?) using Netherlands Post Surface Mail.

Another GearBest order (around the same time as this delayed shipping order) was "Picked Up" by China Post, but this other order still shows as being Picked Up more than a week after it was collected. So who knows how long it will be before this other order will actually be shipped and in transit?

And as an aside, an order placed via Amazon about the same time as the GearBest orders is in transit but is now delayed for some reason(s).

So it seems I'll be waiting for quite some time before delivery of my three orders.

Surprise!

Received my Amazon order yesterday (9 days shipping), and received the other GearBest order today (12 days shipping)! That just leaves the order that was recently shipped via Netherlands Post Surface Mail to be delivered.

The other GearBest order received today was a charger which is currently discharging some Li-ion batteries. GearBest included with the order a power plug adapter at no extra charge!! That was nice of them to do that! So far the charger is working well, and I'm quite pleased with it (OPUS BT-C3100).

Buying from gearbest = worst experience ever as a customer.
Order on expedited shipping indicated as packed since 11/11/2017 still not shipped out (22/11/2017!). One message per day is the max trouble they will get into and that message will just be a copy-paste of their site details.
Keep going back 3-5 business days, and offernig 1 or 2 dollars of points in order to let up your complaints. Had not had worse service than that. Really

I have a GB order that I placed literally 3 weeks ago and it is still in the “Processing” step lol

So is this common? I mean I literally dont have a cell phone. I expected 7 business days delivery when I ordered it and I just cannot sort it out with the blurred messages they keep sending me. I had never heard bad things about the site’s credibility, but I ve started changing my mind now.

I had one item that said packed for about 12 days. I have 2 items that just went over the 15-25 business days shipping time, hope these 3 actually show up.

never had an issue with gearbest, 15+ orders placed so far, usually packing shouldnt take that long, its the shipping so not sure what went wrong… but they never failed me so far all my goods arrived within timely manner.
Usually after its packed it can take a few days for the shipping number to register so i can trace it, but a problem with packing is weird, best is to contact them and ask whats up.

Any idea what the “Dispatch faster” button does? I’m thinking it may mean if an order has several items, they may split it so that items that are onstock and ready to be shipped, can be shipped out rather than wait another 1 or 2 days for those that are waiting for re-stock to arrive…

I posted the pic for a laugh. It does nothing. But maybe the same as the one on the GB site? I do not know. It shows up on all orders, one item or multiple. If it is fake or just mental satisfaction to the buyer, who knows.
I admit, I click it if I am on the site checking orders and see its available to click. All my recent items have shipped. Maybe it works…???
