Greetings from North Wales

Hello all,

Andrew here. I am an American expat living in rural North Wales. Amazing place to work and live. Flashlights are essential to surviving the long dark winters here. Well not really, but it sounds good.

Came to BLF planning to lurk just long enough to buy a flashlight. Stayed because there is a lot to learn and so many bargains to be had.

I have a degree in electrical engineering that rarely sees use in my day job. Flashlights never really interested me when they were merely two batteries and a bulb. Now I’m reading every design thread on here.

I try to always have a hobby project going to keep my EE skills from going away completely.

If you wish, follow along as I attempt to design an engineering battery charger. —> DIY Charger - Possible Project

I hope you have fun here, Andrew_Debbie!

I have a Cardigan Welsh Corgi and I used to fly a Welsh flag.

Yeah, so many bargains, you could go broke…

Welcome to BLF.

It is a cool flag (not my photo)

Welcome to the forum, love North Wales, been on holiday there a few times.

That's the one!

At our old house, we had a flagpole that could fly two flags.

So on top we had the American flag, and below the Welsh flag.

Later I adopted a Corgi.

It's funny because our family is not Welsh; I just like dragons and Corgis.

Hey how are you doing man? Welcome to BLF!

Welcome Andrew (and Debbie).
Hmm …. must visit Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwyllllantysiliogogogoch before the Brexit is completed.

Thanks.

The village isn’t much but we call it home.

Looking back towards the mainland from just outside Llanfairpwll … . . …….

Hi and welcome to the cool house Andrew.
