I tried to figure this out myself, but couldn’t. BeardedRaleigh said he was the first to order and his name is first on the list. Was he really first to order or did he see his name on the list and just assumed he was the first.
I know some of the people who have ordered in the last few days are not on the list - yet.
I guess it makes sense that it’s in order of payments. Maybe some of the people who ordered as soon as they got their PM can chime in if they are at the front of this list or at the middle or rear.
I ordered with in 10 minutes of the PM and at 24 on that list. In no hurry or anything just some info. Dec 1st late at night, I was actually about to go to bed when I got my PM email from BLF.
I paid for my GT within a few minutes of getting the P.M., and I’m #10 on the list. Looks like the list may be in order of payment received. I’m hoping the lights are shipped in the same order.
So using your formula and Cree’s specs of 280lm mm^2 * pi = 880cd mm^2 at the manufacture’s rated current of 2A. If I remember correctly the flat black achieves it’s max around 5-6A. I’m just wondering how this compares. I know the manufactured is saying it has 5x the lumen density of previous gen cree leds. None of this matters if they don’t produce a larger version with adequate output, but it’s interesting.
When looking at the datasheet click on the heading for column A, a drop down menu will appear, click on sort A-Z.
This will give you the list sorted by your interest list number, the column of numbers on the left are just the line numbers of the database
I had been off work the last few weeks for the holidays which is why I was able to take on this full time job of this group buy but I was just informed that I will have to return to work earlier then planned.
So I will not be around much after today. Hopefully the Miller shows back up and can keep things on track.
I had signed up to do the design process, so I was not prepared for this side of things. Thanks to the rest of the team for pulling together to make this happen as well.
I will try to keep up with things as best I can but I generally only get a few mins in the morning to myself, so that could be hard.
The next round of PM’s are almost ready to go, just waiting on one last details and then we will start the process of sending them out tomorrow or saturday (well, Scott and SB will).
Luckily most of the hard work is done at this point, so after this Neal should be able to get your payments and ship out the lights.
I just bought one of these today. It seems very heavy duty and surprisingly well made to me! Will make a ridiculously overkill case for my BLF GT.
There is a current 25% off coupon available ( www.hfqpdb.com - no affiliation) that brought the cost to $30 + tax. Unprecedented in my opinion for this Pelican type case.
