Imalent DX80 32000 lumen monster

^ It’s always good to have a solar panel just in case. I think it’s also a very satisfying feeling to obtain power from just the sun.

I never had the experience but it seems like you may have a defective unit. If the OLED screen will not light up, no matter what, then inform Shellen at sales@imalent.com; if contacting the seller is not possible. I’m sorry, getting a defective unit is awful. I have always had good response from Shellen at sales@imalent.com; I suggest contacting her if contacting the seller is not possible.

Forget about voltmeter or anything like that. Contact Shellen at sales@imalent.com and she will help you obtain a replacement unit for the defective one. Please note my prior post. Thank you, and I am very sorry for your trouble. I am confident that Shellen at Imalent can help obtain a replacement delivered to your door. It’s not supposed to be dim, either. The refined, perfected Imalent DX80 are 32,000 lumens with enough beam intensity to shut off the street light across the street when I am standing in my backyard. It is comparable to SkyLumen’s X65vn Solis which is 35,000 lumens and 365k lux. Sorry my friend. Please email Shellen and I am sure she can help you.

Ty, I will contact her.
Only the Oled display is not working now, the light seems bright now though after charging, so it seems only the display has issues.

Best wishes,

Hello everyone. Had my eyes on this light. I am curious if the battery can be replaced somehow? If not, this flashlight is useless after about 3-4 years.

From what I’ve read there will be battery packs available by Imalent in the near future. There are eight pieces of Samsung 30Q inside, so if you have the skills (or if you know someone), the battery pack is user replaceable as well.
And welcome to BLF!

Thank you kindly!
I just decided to purchase the flashlight with a coupon. If we can remove the battery pack we can cut it open and replace the 18650’s inside

Now i need to find a good replacement charger as from research here and elsewhere, its a pure piece of junk. Any ideas?

You just bought staggering performance, also per Dollar/Euro. The charger problem is probably solved if I’m not mistaken by now. Nevertheless if you’re looking for a replacement I thought people use a laptop charger; same voltage but preferably with higher (potential) amperage. I thought the standard charger was 19V and 2A, so if you get 19V and 3A, you’re definitely fine. However I’m not 100% sure about this, and you should check with Imalent about this. But maybe the standard charger will function normally, so you might want to check that out first. Cheers man!

P.S. You probably need to do more than cut open the shrink wrap of the battery pack. The 8 cells are probably somehow soldered together as well.

Ofcource, but soldering them together is not much trouble. We can put in the panasonic 3400mah’s if they are not much longer then the build in

Panasonic 3400 is not going to survive. These are rated at ~5A. Samsung 30Q is rated at 15A. This is what you need at least. Imalent DX80 puts out 32000 lumens with 8 XHP70 emitters and 8 pieces of 30Q. This means a single 30Q powers a single XHP70 emitter to produce 4000 lumens OTF! This is serious business…

Aaah good tip, i didnt search for the maximim delivered amps per battery yet. I thought the panasonics would do since i used them in all past high powered lights i had. But did i just call my tm26 3800 lumen flashlight powerful? :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m also experiencing the same issue, my DX80 just arrive today DOA, the OLED is not lighting up at all.
Straight from the box, after removing the plastic sheet over the battery , the lights up fine , OLED doesnt show anything.

Is there a code for this light?

There’s a code at the end of this review

I have received the light, and the OLED came broken.
I’m quite disappointed in this, as banggood tries to push me towards imalent to solve this and only wants to refund me 60 euro.

Is it broken after a few times of usage? For such higher price flashlight, it should have been tested before shipping out of factory.

Imalent QC sucks. I’m blown away why anyone would buy their crap after all the bad rap they’ve gotten. I’ve personally experienced their horrible QC. Never again will I buy anything from them.

Too bad Imalent has tarnished its brand name among some members here.
And looks like its QC is still not improving.
But we don’t have exact statistics of failure rate of DX80. Maybe that’s why people still buy it since it’s the king of flood right now and they don’t have other choice that come close. 32000 lumens 8*XHP70.2 with 8*18650 30Q for $217 is very attractive package.

I think so.However, I was getting Get bored of this light early.
I think that it is better not to buy Imalent from BG.My DX80 was also missing accessories, but I was told that it is irrelevant because I have not written it on the sales page :confounded:
