You’ll find this out when you get it but Sofirn’s instructions are wrong.
Changing from group 2 to group 1
Hold switch and it’ll ramp either up to High or ML, it’ll blink twice letting you know it’s at the highest or lowest, hold for a further 3 sec and it’ll blink twice again to change mode group.
You can’t accidentally change mode groups while ramping.
You’ve missed the function in ramping where two clicks get you into Turbo.
One thing i dislike about this torch is that while ramping it’ll pause for 1-2 seconds at 30%
1) Not sure if it’s either when it’s an electronic switch. Same as the SP32
2) Step down from Turbo is 2 min, from High is 3 min. Wouldn’t want it any longer
3) Two frequency strobe
Another thing to mention is only the driver spring is bypassed. Not sure if it matters since there’s no tail switch and it’s a thick spring. I’m new to bypassed springs.
How does the step down work in ramping mode? If it’s at its full brightness, does it still step down after a couple of minutes? And to what level does it step down?
Thanks for posting that. It only mentions Turbo and High being reduced; I don’t see anything about what happens in ramping mode. Can I assume that when it is ramped up to those levels, it will also be reduced automatically?
When ramping high is about 1000 lumens and low is Moonlight mode which is about 1 lumen. After three minutes it looks like medium mode. Double click for turbo. After three minutes it goes down to medium mode but stays at 900 lumens for about a minute. Does this answer your question?
Thanks, 264. That does help. Since medium is 160 lumens, that’s what I’d have to work with most of the time. My Coast polysteel 250 will serve me better.
After 4 clicks my flashlight blinks twice signifying flashlight is locked out. Everytime you press the button the flashlight blinks twice till you repeat the 4 fast clicks to unlock the light.
Hum, d_t_a was mentioning to activate lockout while the strobe is ON!
When the light is OFF, mine behaves like you described
But when the strobe is ON, if the lockout is activated, it remains like that, the light gets locked and then you cant turn Strobe OFF.
Unless with 4 clicks to lock-out or unscrewing the threads !
