Correct me if i’m wrong but the “best” 21700 cell is about 4800mAh and only max continous current about 5A
4250mAh 20700 can handle 15A continuous

According to Mooch:

Best high-current 21700 (30T) has just 3100 mAh, but can handle 35A continuously.
Up in capacity (S35) has 3700 mAh, can handle 30 continuously.
Up in capacity (40T) has 3900 mAh, can handle “25+A” continuously.
Then (Vapcell purple) does 4750 mAh and 15A.
Then (48G) does 4800 mAh and 10A.
Best high-current 20700 (20700A) does 30A and 3100 mAh
Then (Keeppower) does 16A and 4000 mAh (overrated to 4250, that’s probably what you mention)
It seems clear that 21700 are better in performance/unit (haven’t calculated performance relative to size/weight, these are quite interesting too). Also, since both standards are created by Tesla and 21700 is their final choice, I totally expect 21700 to receive more R&D in the future.

Yes, for maximum capacity (with at least 10A of discharge ability) 21700 beats 20700 by a good margin:
HJK Test/reviews:
Panasonic/Sanyo NCR20700B 4000mAh
48G Vapcell Purple NCR21700 4800mAh
These are apparently the best available for each (in that category), unless someone knows of something better.

It is only beginning of the month and you guys already tired of waiting?
Pete7874: freeme:Haha, I haven’t seen the new design yet. will share more details with you guys next week.
And… ? My interest in this light is slowly dissipating due to very few details being made available, and this thread was started what, a month ago? Wake me up when it’s ready to order. I’m guessing it will not be this December.
And?
I noticed you removed the reference to December availability from the original post.
It's taking longer than expected but i think it is worth the wait.

Any idea about the price once it’s released?
They intend to launch "X" in a few configurations. Price will vary from model to model.

It looks just a tad larger then a C8…Smaller then a L6. Now with all the light power inside… How will it stand the heat?
