Convoy L6... XHP70 Beast!

I just checked the Chinese website and see they have them listed! I’d like to get a few

but would the KP 6000 even fit l6, i asume they are the same as the 5200 dimensions? i agree its hard to even find the kp 5200, i have been checking nkon from time to time no luck, just says out of stock all the time :frowning: not even a date or anything when to expect them there…

found a shop in finland from KP distributors link, the new KP 6000 but damn 25euro for 1 piece :frowning: too expensive….

Yes they will fit if they are the same size as the KP-5200/protected cells. I am running the 5200’s in my L6 :+1:

We really don’t know if the new 6000 KP is the same size as the old 5200.
Some people think the new KP 6000mah is basically a Shockli 5500mah which people have reported as fitting the L6, but I can’t remember which L6. The big tube or the little tube version. So it’s a bit of a gamble.

If you’ve got a big tube L6 it will probably fit. If you have the small tube, it’s unknown.

That one has some confusing information. In one place it says it’s protected, then in another place it says “Without protection circuit! Not for flashlights!”.

That is odd.

At 26.2mm and 68mm it should fit fine. Being a flat top, you’ll need to either use a magnet or solder blob them.

Chinese website? Url

It probably doesn’t help much, but I just picked up an L2 host (2pc ring style tube) and a Shockli 5500mah from MtnE. The cell fits and will slide out, but barely. IIRC, the L2 and some of L6 tubes should be about the same size, right? Not sure if that’s the larger or smaller L6 tube though.

I just received the liitokala 26650 (black) 5000mah. I had to put a solder blob on it to make contact and it’s pulling just over 17A at the tail. The efest 4200mah (purple) pulls just over 15A. This thing is bright!

Mtn driver with D4 ramping + 70.2 5000k P2 bin.

Very cool!!
I have pretty much the same parts waiting for the Black L6 SMO but with a lighted E-SW too. Think I am gonna try Yellow or Orange in the SW on the black body.

I take it that you are using the Black Liitokala 26650’s in your L6?
Have been wondering… DO they FIT in L6 OK??

(I ordered a pair on Flash-Sale)

I have one of the recently purchased L6 and several Liitokala black. They fit but snug on the OD. No rattles
My recent L2 is slightly looser on these, proper fit would better describe them.

Yea the new black liitokala. Perfect fit! It won’t run in series out of the box tho.

Thank you Edness, glad to hear that. I knew they were flat tops, but price for the pair was fantastic !..…so… Solder blob no problem. :+1:

i wouldnt feel safe use the liitokalas as u have to use a blob or magnet to make connection in series, what if it shortcuts or something? since they are unprotected its better using the efest since u dont need any magnet or blob…

and is it even a difference if u get 15A or 17 will the lumens be much higher if any?

Solder blob is safe , magnet is not !

He did not say he was using a magnet. Those have risks if you don’t do it right. Solder blobs are super safe. Who told you they are a problem or unsafe?

Problem of using 2 x 26650 Unprotected in series is that the L6 low voltage protection can’t tell if only one of the cell is undervolted.
No good then for the average Jean-Pierre

But for the lightalcoolic that knows what he does and recharges the 26650s often , that should be ok …

I am still waiting for my L6 from GB and its 26650 Protected KPs from BG …. sooo long wait ….

Whether you use protected or unprotected, they have the same rules. Always use 2 identical cells, same age and same number of charges on it. Before you recharge them, make sure the voltages are the same. This way you know they are running down evenly.

If you just use 2 quality unprotected , but matched cells (bought together , not used seperately before) , they will still be completely fine .

If you want to be 1000% safe just use 2 protected (& matched) 26650 cells .
