My review:

Output (ceiling bounce test)
I did a comparaison with haikelite DT70 and my others lights
Turbo is something like 3000lm (spec 3300)
High is more like 1500-1600 (spec 2000)
Moonlight is not working on my sample

Color:
my neutral white is just fantastic
you can see the picture from left to right
haikelite SC02 MTG2 / Nightwatch / astrolux MF01 / haikelite DT70

UI:
Simple UI, tail switch ON/OFF, side switch cycle from OFF, low, mid, high
Double clic get you to turbo mode
Long press get you to moonlight mode

Output runtime VS temp:
Woua i’m impressed with the output it is thermal regulated and turbo last 2 to 3min then it just step by step to get to the high output within 5min…
Temp rise up tp 47°C on fins and 36-37°C on battery tube. It does confirm the graph from the manufacturer :

Pro:
Very compact
Good machining quality
Like the SS Bezel
Like the tail switch to secure the OFF state

Cons:
No spare oring (because of sample for review, comercial comes with oring spare)

Thanks for the review! :+1:

looklike another easy moding light
btw, is the oring at the reflector broken?

I wonder why they did not make a special 3mm thick stamp in MCPCB

I bet a 5 or 6 mm dhelf of sluminum should be as good as stamp in copper, they likely cheated with a 1mm aluminum shelf

there is 10mm of copper stamped in the head
thermal control is very good, fins get quickly hot (good thermal path from led to fins)
i’m surprised with this noname light really

yes you can change the LED easily
But XHP70 need 2S operation…so the driver should be a boost one ?!

Ok review update
moonlight mode acces from long press on side switch

Great review of a cool looking flashlight , Thanks

To help use the comparison beamshots , what specs are in the C8 and L6? LEDs and Drivers?

hello

Beamshot are only for angle (throw/flood) comparison.
I don’t even know the C8 and L6 leds tints…And not to compare outputs.
But camera setting is 5000K to get the color of this IRA Nightwatch flashlight

Questions:

  1. Does it have mode memory? If yes, is it saved also after tail switch is turned off? and is Turbo included in the memory? If no mem what mode does tail/momentary start in?
  2. After it’s switched on at tail, does the double-click turbo work from any mode including off/standby?
  3. In the photos is IRA and L6 both on the highest/turbo mode? At 42776m IRA is a lot more floody and appears brighter than L6.
  4. Does it come with the lanyard that’s pictured?

My observations from the review:

Pros:

  • Dual switches w/Tactical forward tail switch!!
  • Off/Standby included in the modes.
  • Moonlight not included in the normal modes.
  • Quick access turbo
  • Stainless bezel.
  • Nice NW tint.
  • Modder friendly

Cons:

  • Size is a bit large (compared to Thrunite TC20) Although small compared to L6!

Possible more depending on answers to above questions.

I just received it from Enogear and weighed it at a whopping 363.8g on my calibrated scale (Enogear site list it at 350g). Good thing is most of the mass is in the head, where it is most needed for heat dissipation. The head weighs 257.6g! Surprisingly, it doesn’t feel as heavy as I imagined but I guess it is because of the large size. It is bigger than the Nightwatch NA40SE, which weighs 212.0g and the Sofirn C8F 21700, which is known to have great thermal performance weighing 197.4g. I’m still contemplating whether to put a XHP70.2 or 4xE21A in it. I’m leaning more towards 4xE21A since this thing can probably handle 2,000 lumens indefinitely.

It does have mode memory except for Turbo where it starts at “off”. Turbo lumens at 1s is 2,710 lumens measured with the TA lumen tube. I have the NW version and the CCT is about 4500k-5000k. It’s hard to tell because it has some yellowish (above the BBL) tint compared with my 4500k and 5000k below the BBL tint lights that look alot purer white. I guess the CW version should make more lumens.
