It seems yes.

KeepPower Ncr18650g 3600 mAh Li-ion Rechargeable Protected Battery X2 for sale online | eBay
Like has already been said…… don’t waste your money. Go for the cheaper tried & true cells.
Sorry teacher but Keeppower and Blazers are very much ` TRIED AND TRUE `and in my opinion some of the ` Best` Li-ion batteries on the market.
Yes more expensive but without a doubt the top of the line when it comes to Li-ion batteries.
Have been buying and using them for a few years now and would not buy anything else.
I buy straight from the Australian source if anybody wants a link.I think Teacher was mainly trying to say you can buy just as good protected cells for almost half the price.
There are other factors involved, though. Certain countries might be hard to ship batteries to. Sometimes it’s best to spend more just to buy through eBay or to buy from the same country you live in. I think this is your situation?
Sorry JasonWW but I do not believe you can buy ` just as good protected cells for almost half the price` .
Can you give me a example please ?Yes we sometimes have trouble getting Li-ion`s imported due to the heavy restrictions placed on shipping Li-ion cells.
But buying from Ebay is never really a good option.
In Australia Ebay let Chinese sellers lie and rip people off as they please without retribution .
Most of the cells on Ebay are TOTAL RUBBISH and a big hit & miss luck effort.
I would never recommend Ebay for cells UNLESS its from a reputable seller.Thank you JasonWW you are a big help on this site.
mickscott…… Jason is right about what I was saying. I never said the KeepPowers were not “tried & true”…… they are not cheaper though.
And sorry mickscott, JasonWW is correct about price here also…… Majoroverkill is from the USA, SO…. he can get BETTER cells for about half the price of the KeepPowers.
The GA’s, 35E’s, & MJ1’s are ALL better than the KeepPowers thru the complete discharge range.
Even the 30Q is better down to 3.2 V
So while the KeepPower is an OK “tried & true” cell, as far as I am concerned it is not worth paying twice the money for cells that are inferior to the ones I mentioned above. Simple as that……
YMMV…….
Bozlight29:is the glass broken :ops:
NO it’s a reflection :sunglasses:
I shop my batteries from one of the EU amazons, buying them here in Denmark are a big old no go unless i am missing out on some secret sauce.
So amazon .de or .uk are mostly it, and while that might not be China cheap, it are cheap compared to local stuff.

I don't see the clear button, as mentioned needing replaced. It must be included?
Could be a picture from before the change…
And even its a crack in the lens? Maybe it’s there test light that has been dropped daily? I know it doesn’t look like it but we just dont know the story, we just see a picture.
Please, dont worry about those details.
BTW, where were those pictures posted?
Lumintop just posted on Instagram that first batch is ready for shipment
Thank you.
How about those who wants split shipping? How do the 2 boxes look like?

Right here. No one said it was a clear button. It is a translucent black.
Ok, I finally got a bit more info on what is causing the delays with the shipping.
It seems that there were 2 minor issues found during the QC checks that are now having to be fixed manually 1 at a time.
The first is that the rubber switch boots that should have been transparent turned out to be not-so-transparent (think when Thorfire shipped the S70 without a gray switch cover?). So they had to source replacement and are now having to install them in all 1000 lights manually.
The second was that the PCB fab house apparently flipped a 0 in the code to a 1 and caused some minor issues with the firmware. The hardware is fine, no worries. They are having to go through and reflash all 1000 drivers manually though.
Why they didn’t give us these details last week, I am not sure. My guess is they were too busy trying to work them out and with Neal at his wedding it just got delayed in reaching us.
The plus side is that they caught the issue before they were shipped out and saves everyone the hassle of having to sort these out later.
No word on when they will start shipping yet. As soon as the issues are sorted out I am sure. I am not sure if they will ship them out as they are done or if they will wait until all 1000 are ready first.
See anything familiar with GT photo? Curved edge glass reflection !!! Just from a different angle it can look as a crack! END !
Still no clue as to what the two parts packaging will look like…
Thank you Nikolas, I think we can put the broken gt glass issue to bed… with no dinner I might add.
Wat you say (that 1.8kg water equals a volume of 0.0018m3) is not 100% accurate. It depends on the amount of salt for example and the temperature of the water.
Sea water is iirc more dense that non salty water. And other liquids have a different density too.
That’s the reason the formula to calculate buoyant force uses the density of the liquid.
True, but for making use of such formally proper calculation we would need specific values for a given scenario. When we just want to find out if it’s even close to floating, it really is that easy. More liters than kilograms and it will float in lake water. Less; it will not.
Of course it’s not anything like a diving light so the light being even somewhat close to a density of just 1 (kg/dm^3) is just an interesting observation, not that much of a feature. Still interesting though; other heavy duty aluminum lights of more typical smaller size are much heavier per volume.

You were expecting an answer in 26 minutes? It might be days before we see a picture of that. Please have some patience.

:+1:
It is indeed a very interesting discovery. With a little bit of shaving on some spots we could have had a flashlight that wouldn’t only be a king of throw but it would also float . That would be a real selling point!
Realistically though, that would require a lot of aluminium being removed as these numbers were all without the batteries and carriers installed…

Well. I did asked it a couple days ago but didn’t got any response it. Neal was very busy that time (I hope is now enjoying his personal time!) so he could easily missed that question.
Some would think that because we see only these boxes that the 2 box shipment consists of 2 of these boxes each with halve of the GT inside it?

Exactly…… And it may well be there is no picture of the two box shipping at all. You may see what it looks like when it arrives at your door.
As long as it gets delived safe & sound…… what difference does seeing a picture make anyway??
I have some good news! The first 170 GT’s are shipped today! The rest will be shipped continuously, so the GT’s are on its way! Merry Christmas to you all from Lumintop!
